It’s pretty ironic that Kanade, who’s in a season focused on music, and Saki, who’s in a season focused on nature (Splash Star), did the concept of baking better than the entirety of the Kira Kira season which had nearly a decade of a gap. Anyway, Suite Precure is overall a good season despite the faults. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t get as much as positive rep during it’s run. Then again, it’s sandwiched btw two great seasons of the Pretty Cure franchise and a tsunami affected the storyboard. You are such an underrated user, Azen. I thank you for taking the time to make these videos on a franchise that’s rather under the radar in the western region. Props for those Jojokes. Especially in the end.....XD

Wouldn't it have been soooo cool if it turned out both melodies were acrually part of a bigger tune? As in that they both were parts of one whole song? To show ghe duality of life and that sadness and happirness go hand in hand and exist together?

If Hummy and Siren were aware of the attack on major land prior to the events of the show, maybe hummy's unwavering trust in siren could make sense. Like say siren was going to minor land as a double agent or for a simple Recon mission hoping to learn of mephisto's whereabouts for Aphrodite to make sure he was safe but unfortunately fell under the legit control of Noise. Meanwhile Hummy is the only other insider to this fact and thinks that siren's behavior was part of the plan. She doesnt know Siren has been brainwashed which can throw a wrench in their plan to stop Minor Land from taking over. She genuinely thinks Siren is playing the villains like a fiddle until she can save Mephisto from his mind controlled state. Automatically makes Hummy's Naivete understandable and makes the villains seem smarter than they appear, not trusting anyone from Major Land until their brains are thouroughly washed.

I think the logic with the civilian girls breaking out of the mind control was that Noise was still at considerably less than full strength and as such their powers are glitchy, mind control can falter at any time. Remember how many times Siren needed to be re-brainwashed because it kept wearing off?

oddly enough this season is one of my top 5 favorite. (Might fall to number 6 after Hugtto is over. its far from over yet, it could fall on just short. Dont know if it'll surpass this yet.) I sometimes call seasons 'Fresh to Smile' as the "Golden era" of Precure, mainly because i found all 4 to be really memorable and fun. Doki is memorable, but for all the wrong reasons... Looking at you, cure ACEhole!

Personally i think the G clef thing could've been executed a tad bit better even if we factored in the tsunami. Something like " the first set of GClefts belonged to the first members of the Suite Precure Faction and in order to fully change the score into a new score, the new Precure G Clefs are needed." thus granting yet another legacy that admittedly wouldnt have mattered this late in the series but still seem believable in terms of lore

Considering that Otokichi was the one who banished Noise originally its safe to assume that Mephisto is not the true ruler of Major land but the Royal consort. Aprodithe is the ruler by birthright and authorithy due to being the daughter of Otokichi. It would also explain Mephisto's behavior and personality. Being of commoner birth unlike Otokichi, Aprodithe, and Ako. Mephisto never properly learned etiquette, diplomacy, among other things necessary for royalty. It's much like King Mickey in Kingdom Hearts. He can spend all that time fighting the darkness because he is not the ruler of Disney castle. Queen Minney is and is the one who handles the administration of the world. Mickey is merely a knight who married into the royal family and climbed his way to the top.

Before anything, I would like to point out another plot hole I noticed. I don't believe Mephisto is the king of Major Land AND Aphrodite's husband, why? Go back to episode 1, why didn't ANYONE in Major Land commented on seeing their king attacking them? Why isn't Aphrodite's reaction looks more like seeing a friend/rival turning evil than someone who lost a husband? Even worst, that would mean that Minor Land does not exist given the context of the story, to me that is a bad thing since music is consists of Major and Minor tunes, they cannot exist without one or the other, they are the 2 side of the same coin. Other than that, awesome review as always. Suite is a... meh Precure series. While all this is because of a major event that really affect Japan in a big way, so I will give it a pass for what is worth. Though for other series (looking at you Happiness Charge and Kirakira Precure), forgiveness is really hard to give as they raised just too many questions. Well I would like to say that I am looking forward to the review of DX3, but it seems we hit a road block into the final volume of the Kirakira Precure manga. Still good though, as I would like to see how different is the conclusion of the manga than the anime. I mean it can't be that bad... right?

Well another good review. I have the same feeling's as you do for this season. It's not really that good, but it's also not that bad of a season either. The last couple of episodes were my favorite and I think it was one of my favorite ending's for Precure. Next up after the movies is my favorite season Smile Precure. The season that got me into this show. I do hope u look back at some of the older season's at some point, because I want to here your thoughts on Splash Star. That season needs more love. Good job and I can't want to here your next review.

Learning about your thoughts of this season as well as other have been interesting. I will say I do still disagree on a lot of your points but I agree it's a middle of the road season. Still it has a lot of charm to it and I didn't know what to expect going into it at first especially since unlike Fresh which I heard saved the franchise, and Heart Catch which is called the best or one of the best, I had no idea what I was walking into. Still at the end of the season I was happy I watched it. Ellen and Hummy made for some of my favorite characters and Noise is such an interesting final villain who I wish was the villain from the start. The recycled elements such as a father turned evil by brainwashing and even kinda sacrificing himself even if he didn't die only going into a coma but still. Not to mention Ellen's arc having a lot of similarities to Setsuna and even some other redemptive cure characters was frustrating. Still at the end the season was entertaining at the best and at it's worse it wasn't annoying just boring. Still I hope next season is better...even though I am gonna watch the dub along side it because I love torturing myself with bad dubs. Anyway nice review man!!

I can't wait for you to tear Happiness Charge apart.....Seiji was the only good thing and the ending angered me so much I wrote a fic which Seiji ended up saving the day.....that's how angry I was.

I personally can't wait until you begin to review Smile Precure being it's after this is my favorite season of the franchise.

Plus I really like Hibiki just for her alone I can forgive the downsides of the show

Noise reminds me of Cell from DBZ when he ABSORBS one person after another one. What will happen if he just absorbs more? Will he transform into something else?

While I understand what you're saying....Hummy is still the best as she was basically sailor moon in mascot form. I'm sure Usagi would've given the notes to Siren too, as she handed out her own McGuffins a couple of times on SM.

Yeah, this is a great season. Sure not everything hit like trio the minor had ugly designs and could have used a lot more individual characterisation, although they still had some decent comedy. But Noise is probably my second favourite final boss of this franchise after Ophiuchus and had an amazing final battle. Seriously Noise is a freaking black dragon and doesn't have to grow his body to the size of a planet to be a boss-level threat. The battles throughout the season are generally quite good, they're not Go! Princess level but they're solid. The soundtrack is amazing and the transformations all look awesome. I do like most of the story and do like Hummy, even if Hummy is very dumb and naïve, her just absolute innocence and neverending faith in Seiren and their friendship did win out in the end. Had they fleshed out that backstory a bit more or showed more of Seiren before she turned to the dark side it could have worked even better. In the end, that's also what Precure is, forgetting and forgiving about past crimes and moving past those with the power of friendship. And Hummy had to be the one to convert Seiren, being the only one who still knew Seiren from before she was brainwashed and therefore the one with the strongest connection to her. Overall, I have very little to complain about, I guess the side characters were quite shallow (Ouji is probably the least developed Precure love interest and Waon was little more than Hibiki's stalker and simp), and the seventh fairy tone Siri (the dark blue one with the B tone) should have been with Cure Muse from the start alongside Dodori as she is the one who uses that fairy tone in her special attacks. Some kinks here and there with the story, like Noise just letting the Precure go after acquiring the G-clefs, and some minor nitpicks like them calling symbols for sharps or flats notes as well (they're more like the adjectives to the notes rather than notes themselves) but overall still good. I do like how they use the fairy tones in the transformations and the attacks, especially the double Beltier attacks where the two fairy tones together form power chords for both of them, nice attention to detail there.

You think this little Pink Pipsqueak was the New Big Bad after Mephisto, but it was a Chibi Bird who's the mastermind.
