this is the same school that kicked me out senior year, because i excelled in the arts and literature, but failed math and history. i hope that the teachers and the facilities know that it was a mistake that they made me a drop-out and prevented me from graduating with my classmates. THEY INVITED THIS GUY, WHO MADE "WHY I HATE SCHOOL BUT LOVE EDUCATION", THE VIDEO I CLUNG ONTO THE MOST IN SCHOOL, BUT KICKED ME OUT BECAUSE THEY DIDNT KNOW I HAD ADHD UNTIL I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH IT YEARS LATER. the facility and the structure at Irvington High School used to be a haven for me. now it is a memory and an opportunity that has never been.

Its 5am in South Africa i literally cannot sleep all im doing is watching your video's,a week ago i prayed to God to show me a sign that would show me that my greatness will not lie in a book or a teacher and a classroom and today on the 13th of august 2014 at 5am i switched on my laptop typed in youtube to search for poetry and your poem,why i hate school but love education popped up with a bunch of others but this one was that i watched and finished along with every single 1 of your videos i played. Well here I am, right? I sit here listening and this is exactly what I'm going through. Me? Commercial Airline Pilot. Been pursuing this intensely for over 1 year. Going to events, talking to pilots, taking classes, going up with older guys in their planes...I love it. I love it. I will do it for the rest of my life. People: listen to this guy. He knows. Hell, I know. Pursue it HARD.

Was it just me who found an easier way to do a maths question, but your teacher would not allow it as that wasn't the way you were taught though you got the same answer, the correct answer. It frustrated me so much!

i was told to work out if two lines were parallel so i measured the distance between them at the top and the bottom they were the same distance apart but i got a cross for not using the correct method even tho i got the correct answer and got it faster

Inspirational & emotional listening to suli makes me just want to get up and do the things i think & dream about but that i have not done! watching this makes you realise we are put on this earth for a reason. and that we should not sit back and do what others tell us to do but do what we want to do and enjoy and thrive with passion.and become what people said we would not become or didn't believe because the day we stop achieving is the day we stopped believing in our self. wow you really got me at the end of the exam results poem, i've listened to a lot of your stuff including that spoken word multiple times but hearing it live with the music and the cheers and applause as you finished was so damn powerful. There are those who are inspired, and those who inspire!

suli, I tend to watch one of your vids and feel super inspired, I then slowly decline from you inspiration, and therefore come back for, more and the process repeats itself, however this time I had reached a low a very big low, I mean I went from reasonably popular to hated at school, and this video, makes me feel a lot better. I don't know where you are in your travels, but if by chance your still in the states, it would mean a lot to me and my friends if you could come to my high school in Oxford, Ohio. Im going through the same struggle as you bro but i won't be swayed or moved from my path. I believe in the power in believing in myself. Your so right, it's sad the education system doesn't educate kids enough in self belief and fill us with passion. Too many kids fear learning because they associate it with school and school they associate with negative thoughts. Speaks for itself right?
