Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

The title Haseki, was created by Suleyman, for Hurrem! Mahidevran was NEVER Haseki. Writers and directors took a great deal of Liberty in telling this story. The disclaimer in states clearly, this tv series is based on historical people, but not entirely based on all factual events.

Haseki means chief consort it’s the equivalent of Huang GuiFei in the Qing harem if you watch Chinese dramas or the empress . For Hurrem’s case empress.

The fact that he is not saying "what have you done to me, you have killed our relationship", is a proof that he still respected Mahidevran, and there was a chance their relationship would regain some of its vigour. But he painfully tells her that there is nothing left of a relationship of two people. From now on, the only worth she has is being the mother of a prince. Mahidevran has broken any possible recovery in their relationship.

I feel like things would've been better for mahidevran if she just accepted hurrem as sultan's favourite. I mean yes, it would've been hard, but it would've saved her dignity in front of the sultan and maybe her title. If she just continued things as they were before everything would've been different. Just because of a ring and jealousy she beat up Hurrem. She put herself in that position and then blame Hurrem. Even Mustafa was killed because of her greed. She keep planting in his head he is King before Suleyman is dead. Of course Hurrem take the opportunity to push Mustafa out of the way for her son.

In reality, when this fight broke out and Hurrem was badly wounded, it was Valide who took care of keeping Mahidevran away from Hurrem. For her, Hurrem mattered a lot because she saw how much her son adored her and how much she adored her son. She knew that Hurrem loved Suleiman not for his power but for the person he was, unlike Mahidevran. In fact, she even sent the foreign concubines away because she saw it made Hurrem upset and sad. But truth be told, despite the intentions of Mahidevran, you can't help but feel bad about her in the end. She lived a life of loneliness, losing the son who brought joy into her life and her grandsons too. Suleiman could have at least spared the little babies.... He didn't do it for Bayezid, nor did he do it for Mustafa.

Ikr. But because back then Mahi was a mother of a first born, she was called Haseki, wich means she has more privileges than other mothers of prince or Princess. But when her son died, she was no longer Haseki, lost all power, But still called sultan. After his death Hurrem was called Haseki. Example, when mother of Suleyman died, sultan gave Mahi to rule the harrem, because well, she was the mother of a first born. She lost that btw, because she didnt know how to rule the harrem. Sorry For my bad english.

Oldest surviving son or not, Mahidevran WAS NEVER an Ottoman court lady and NEVER ruled the harem in the capital in reality only in this series. Enjoy watching.

Honestly as beautiful as the harem and Topakai palace is, the environment created in the harem is incredibly toxic and unhealthy. Plus it was suleman who actually caused the problem, if he'd just bothered to listen or at least show, Mahidrevan a scrap of affection that would never have happened. She was trying to tell him, but he just kept lavishing attention on Hurrem and ignoring mahidrevan, the frustration of being ignored like that obviously caused a serious breakdown for her.

It’s actually kind of amazing the transformation of her character between when she first came into the harem and now, she can barely lift up her face and it’s only a little bit bruised, where is the strength that she came with? Alexandra in the beginning would not have cared what her face look like, it was her character that she valued. In reality, no one would have really cared if she got bashed around a little bit. It’s only the image they care about.

Hürrem is no saint, that"s for sure. But in this specific situation, she didn't deserve the beating Mahidrevan gave her. She had a break down due to jealpusy and miscarried, then she decides it's all Hürrem's fault and beats her up? Why would she be wrong to try to gain the favor of the only one who can give her a good life after everything she'd been through? If anything, the laws and traditions are the things to blame

How is it a lie that you were the one who attacked her. This woman always resorts to calling someone a liar. She never accepts any responsibility for her actions. She cannot see herself clearly. I know Hurrem can be annoying and is getting in her way but she never thinks about why that really is. She wants attention without knowing how to give any. She cannot seem to carry on a conversation with anyone about anything really except what she wants and how it should go all her own way. Many times she could have carved out a place for herself but she refuses to. She whines about her misfortunes incessantly. She sulks and pouts like a child. Valide Sultan has many times tried to explain this to her but she can't hear because she's too busy whining and making herself stressed all the time so she loses the baby. If she had practiced calm and restraint she would have eventually won him back even if only just enough to have a real presence in his life. Some people fall in love with their grief and discontent and this will only ever lock them into an infinite loop of unhappiness and bad luck/decisions. Mahidevran is her own worst enemy, that and her handmaiden who is completely crazy.

People keep blaming Mahidevran and Hurrem but I think the main problem here is the Sultan. According to history he was indeed a great politician and emperor. Thus, considering he had that much influence on the population, he should’ve stuck with one woman from the beginning to the end (a Queen) without the harem system. The destruction of the harem system was the solution to all his personal problems, if the history about their jealousy almost destroying Sultan Suleiman’s kingdom is to be believed

but back in the days most emperors had harems to ensure that he had a heir when he passes away. what if an emperor only had 1 wife and she couldn’t give him an heir? and he could’ve taken another child and raised him as his heir but the court definitely would object to that, so that’s why a harem was established back in the days. i don’t like the idea of a harem at all, but that was back then.

Hurrem is a good woman all she did was to survive the jungle...she is intelligent and very wise even more than the eldest woman in d harem ie Suleiman mum,she is very compassionate that's why she never see killing someone as a first option,she is very forgiven t go at she helped daye,nigar,and even this mahidevrans most loyal maid... She would always think about the poor...why are they saying she is evil? Because she has the loyalty and fought for the love of the sultan? Suleiman telling Mahidevran "You've killed us" is the most hypocritical thing ever. That said, I'm not fond of Mahi either but Suleiman is just as responsible for all the "disasters" that happens in the harem. He "killed" his relationship with Mahidevran when he started sleeping with Hurrem just as he killed one with Gulfem when he brought Mahidevran. He "killed" each woman that comes into his life slowly and painfully, yet he dares to claim like lovelorn, innocent Romeo himself "You've killed us". 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I do not wonder why Mahidevran finally snapped. Instead of consoling a woman who lost his baby, Sulejman decided to ask Hurrem to his chambers. And he dare to say : You killed us. No , Mr Ruler of the World, you killed her first with taking woman after a woman before her eyes, while she did not have a right to even voice a complain. They have a child together - it was normal for a woman to cling to a man she shares a bed with and has his child. I may not approve her cruelty, but I fully understand the reason behind the atack.

FYI : kosem didn’t make sultan fall in love with her . She was lucky that he was always in love with her and that why she was brought there . While Hurrem came from being nothing . Also : suleiman was much stronger person thn Ahmed . Making Suleiman love and care her was an impossible task , which she managed to do .
