I watched the whole episode, basically, the mom also has a childhood hurt that she got from her parents. She wanted to have a happy family but she didn't know how to make it because her parents never gave her love and happiness. At the end of this program, she tries to learn how to be a mom and make a happy family. There are no perfect parents.

I somewhat don't agree and in a way agree too. If she had gone through child hurt herself in past then she would have made sure that her child doesn't go through any of the shit atleast from her side. I agree with yeah she might have gone through herself but don't realise the fact and the same she is doing with her kid. On this particular story I have seen many people sharing their experiences on different media and 95% of them realised the fact that they also had gone through same and do won't do same thing with their child.

In one Super Nanny episode in Brazil there's one clearly narcisistic mother who despised the 8yo daughter hard and I remember when the mother became afectuous with her and she smiled, but then she looked to the camera and realised it was all faked, her face expression turned SO sad, it was incredibly heartbreaking. Probably it is the same with this little boy but he is still too innocent to notice it. Poor boy.

I watched this and this triggers my childhood pain. I grew up with the same parents. Except that my mother didnt know she was doing it. If I correct her now, she'll take it as an attack against ger and cry. My dad knew his mistake, but he's kinda narcissist and is very good in redirecting the issue. I only see and realized this characteristics of my parents when I turned 30, that time I wondered why I was always depressed growing up, and why I cant stay in a job for a long time, or why I cant fall in love, or why I cant have genuine long friends as i tend to ghost them whenever Im so depressed, as I analyse my upbringing in the past, thats when I realized the characteristics of my parents I listed above. By my experince, this parents will not change. When the child grow up and he starts to pinpoint their mistake, catch them on their mistakes with proof like showong videos or qouting their actions and words in the past then if after this the parents acknowledge and really decided to change and not do it again, thats the only time this family's dynamic will change. But as for me, Im just tired. Nothing can erase a scar because it always reopen as society is filled with triggers. An emotional scar is not like a physical scar that can be treated with laser or cream, because it will always stay in our memory and pain. I dont know if the kid will even be motivated in the future to fix his relationship with his parents and if he'll even wants to stay home. Because if I have a choice, I will leave my parents. The only thing that's holding me back is now that they are 70+, they rely to m. I pity them, so Im staying. I wish I knew the feeling of love - I dont know whats the difference of feeling between pity, sacrifice and love.

The thing is the grand maa is really great and is always there for the kids. I feel sad for the way they treat her ( the way her own son treat her has on inoact on the grandson you can tell that he's a negative influence on him) but i think a kid yearns for parents the most and with the birth of his little sister must be thinking his grandmaa is also not there so much. At that age all kids like is to be attended too and are the biggest attention seekers but he's clearly deprived of the love filled gaze of his parents and the guilt of grandmaa pushes her away too. The father is the worst one here just berating his mom, wife and son without any hint of responsibility. I literally cried for the kid been there and i can tell that the mom isn't a bad mom but the circumstances forced her to be that way she's exhausted, struggling to live in a tight paycheck to paycheck situation. The only thing that's problematic about her is the fact that she brings up talks about him not being good looking enough for an arts school while i get the intention in a highly appearance centric country but there's an age to everything and he's just 4 way too young for that conversation. Also, emphasizing their poor financial situation like that will push him further away, build a wall that's hard to transcend no wonder he thunk they don't like him enough. He feels like a replacement it's so obvious he thinks, now that they have his sister; one day they'll leave him if he does anything wrong or piss off his parents, facing seperation anxiety at just 4...

I cried really hard today because I get to see this video again for the second time and I remembered how I get to experience this because I'm in a broken family. My mother used to compliment be being independent and I'm always showing that I'm proud of it but deep down I fear to express my feeling that I feel alone because I lack of guidance. My father always works tirelessly even before I study, the first thing on my mind when I was a child is that my parents already broke apart and I have to go to my aunt to see my father onece every weekend, holiday or vacation. I chose to stay every once in a while to my father side because I always feel I'm an exception maybe the reason is I grew up in my father side. One time when I was in elementary I heard my oldest brother said that they did'nt invite me to a go to eat outside because I was happy that I'm at the house where my father moved in years later then after that I replied "you did'nt inform me at all" then my oldest brother said that its a decision of my mother to not invite me because they thought that I would refuse. I have two half siblings back then and I'm the youngest in my father's side. I did not resent any hatred towards my siblings or maybe a little because of how jealous back then I am but it was all pin downed to my mother who made me feel that I'm suppose to do everything alone when I was to innocent and a foolish child back then. I'm 16 now and I have another half sibling from my mother again but I don't feel those hatred anymore. It feels so hurtful though to the point where I don't want my parents to be my role model because I got to see what they lack and how can they be manipulative towards their own child. I'm living with my father now with my other two older siblings. I want to open up because I never get to explain what I feel when I'm crying and atleast you won't see it. They taught me everything on what I should be as a parent by making me witness what wrong they did. I feel geum ji's loneliness

This should be considered abuse. I have always thought that people need to get a license to be able to have a child - not just be able to pop them out if they can not take care of them. I know his parents can't give him too much time as he expects but I think the little boy also has some insecurity problem. I don't see him in this episode to play or do any chatting with his little sister. But when his mother said him that she should feed his sister and change her diaper, he really doesn't cooperative with this, rather he starts crying. I may be wrong but I think not only time, play etc, the boy has some insecurity problem which will increase in future if he sees some more affection or love to his parents toward his sister. Please don't totally blame his parents, his mom also being very busy with the sister. It's also happens to us. Personally my sister is 3 yr younger than me. After her birth my mum also gave her most attention to her. But I used to play with her, atleast I used to sit near her when mom was doing households. It's quite natural. 1st child has less attention immediate after 2nd child born. My father was a professor, and he had no time in weekdays. But I or my friends who have siblings had never these type of thought that my mother didn't love me.

If she had abandonment issues like her son, it definitely can prevent her from being thr parent she wants and will continue to neglect her children emotionally. If she never learned love as a child then she wouldn't be able to show it to her son as a mom. Childhood traumas can affect your relationships as an adult too. People are just aren't aware of it.

Almost everyone who is saying that they don’t think that his parents are going to change. Are 90% not even parents! Try to have two infants at home and you will see how exhausting it can get. As you can see the mother recently got to be experienced to be a mother and not everyone is in one go the best super mom. She is clearly exhausted and I suspect that the dad doesn't include himself in caretaking of their children (but that's only a hypothesis) That is why she was trying to make him independent on certain things and let's not forget the toxic masculinity that leads to most of the world population think that a boy needs to act like a man even if you are a child( how much did you hear from parents that a boy must not need to cry because it's unmanly?). Although I'm not pleased with her method...I think she has been already told so I'm not going into depth. Being a mom is hard. I don't even think that she gets time for herself to simply relax. I wish the family and the boy the best and happiness 🤍
