Күн бұрынIn todays episode, I take you through a 3500 km, 6 months epic journey, as I set out to explore Sumatra Island in Indonesia. This documentary can be used as a travel guide from Jakarta to Sabang, as I show you Sumatra solo on my KTM 390 Adventure Motorbike to reach the beginning of Indonesia, Kilometer Zero.
I'm on a 3 year journey to document a solo motorbike journey through all of Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke. This documentary is the first Phase of my Motorbike adventure, where I visit the following provinces: Lampung, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Jambi, West Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh.
Stay tuned for Phase 2, as I continue to Borneo aka. Kalimantan, in search for Orangutans, The Dayak Tribe and stories from the most remote parts of the Island.

Very interesting, a pity one of my long time friends in Indonesia, from Sweden a few months ago passed away... he started his Indonesian adventure on pulau Weh...but..more then 30 years ago. He stayed on...worked for the government of n.Sumatra for tourism.... retired.. I started 43 years ago...in Jakarta/Bandung... Stayed...became tourguide on a traditional Buginese schooner....with which I sailed for years, all over the archipelago. Now a small pension from Holland...but can stay..and live in Bali. Looking back..at arriving kn 1978..to now. Soo much happened..but also..so fast. Happy to have been able to stay... Hope... but I am sure you will...yo find your way too. I see your love for Indonedians and their country... that is super!! Best wishes..Pieter
