Whole churches may not be able to disaffiliate but congregants can with their feet

Decions made by the UMC General Conference were disappointing & sickening, but not surprising. Many of those wonderful folks in churches, which I served across 6+ decades, are hurting & TRAPPED. It was a gut-wrenching & heart-breaking decision to leave the denomination in which I was given opportunity to serve for 60+ years, but this past year as an Elder in the GMC has been an inspiring & meaningful sp[iritual experience which surpasses description! At 83 years of age, I never anticipated such a closeness to God & other Bible-believeing Christians. I feel UNSHACKLED & I am expeiencing in a magnificent way the glorious liberty of the children of God. I am plenty old to be your grandfather, but you are a blessing to me personally & to an immeasurable multidude of Christians who follow your presentations. May God bless you, your precious family, your church, and our fellow members of the Family of God. To God be the glory! Amen.

Jeffrey, I have grown to admire your ministry and wish you all the best. After leaving the UMC my wife and I joined the Catholic faith and are very happy. God has called us !

Did I ever tell you about one of my conversations with bishop Harvey (before they suspended me)? She said the video I put out was full of misinformation. I asked her to provide an example of any assertion I had made that was not factual. She said, “Well, nobody has time to go back and watch and write them all down.” So after accusing one of her ordained and covenanted presbyters of spreading lies, she could not provide even one example.

I was thinking the same way. Who is gonna be stupid enough to Re-Affiliate after having to fight to leave!?

Walk away from the UMC

Thank you for your long suffering with all this. We keep saying that we have all been seeing the “handwriting on the wall” and that is why so many have bravely disaffiliated. But in the scene with King Belshazzar, it was interpreted that he had been weighed and found wanting and that his days were numbered. I think the “handwriting on the wall” is for those who have proudly defied the Biblical gospel of our Lord and Savior.

Carlene Johnson from the Florida Conference was the white delegate that interrupted the speech of the African degegate with only 15 seconds remaining with a point of order to break for lunch because she was hungry. Her point of order took longer to state that had she allowed the delegate to finish his speech. That was the most ungracious thing I've seen this week.

Jeffery, thanks so much for your coverage and commentary on the sad bunch in Charlotte. So many of us saw this coming and I feel sorry for members of my former UMC congregation who had their heads in the sand and didn't do their due diligence during discernment and voted to remain UMC.Hopefully some will walk soon and join our new church plant GMC congregation. I’m so glad you do the synopsis of the General Conference. I didn’t know the vote was today. It’s a sad day for the UMC. I’m praying tonight to have God show me where He wants me to go.

If there is no Global Methodist near you but there is an Anglican Church in North America congregation, you are all welcome to worship in a safe place with us.

I am putting together a resolution for our next conference, in light of the UMC's declaration, to declare it a "non-church".

Don't be too discouraged. The GMC has had its Dunkirk. There is more to come.

Leaving quick as I can..Either believe it all or believe none of it

Jeffrey, thank you for doing the “dirty work” of watching and reporting on the Kabuki Theatre of the UMC. There are no words to describe how ridiculous and narcissistic the “leadership” has become. Their arrogance has exceeded this Christian’s expectations. Their hubris has spread like a virus infecting their souls and turning them into minions of the evil one. How they believe their behavior is a reflection of the Creator and His Son Jesus Christ is beyond comprehension. Who are they praying to? The Holy Spirit has certainly not been welcomed in. I pray those who tried to speak reason and to point them back to the Lord are not harmed in any way and will return to their churches and find another place to meet. The UMC has opened its arms to anathema. They are to be pitied and prayed for.

Just leave folks.
