We had four children close in age and in the hot summer evenings we would send them all out to the sprinkler in the backyard with bars of soap. They all got clean at the same time and were able to cool off before bedtime. Edit: With swim suits on.

You are an amazing father Peter. Before you took your daughter to show her the gifts that got for them, you explained to her that the was getting one too so that she wouldn’t get upset or feel left out or unloved. You are doing a great job raising your foster children and Anthony. Anthony is so good with his younger siblings ❤

Brilliant! I grew up in SoCal in the 70s and 80s. My parents were frugal with us 6 kids and believed our summers were best spent outside. TV was rare and of course we had no devices. And no pool or AC. BUT!!!! We had the best time with the hose!! Slip n Slide, running through sprinklers, we’d even drape the hose over a tree branch and shower outside, especially in our PJs right before bed on the hottest nights and went to bed wet. No one got pneumonia 😅 We froze wet washcloths to put on our heads and feet. I’d die at my age now but those sweltering LA summers hold some of my best memories. 😊🌞

Yeah, humidity is the worst because it makes kids so hot and sweaty -- and everyone else hot and sweaty, too. LOVE the water slide!

😂😂my son is almost 3 and I have been training him on bike with no wheels since day 1, even with his skills, I still have to 1000 times remind him “slow down” 😂 they forget so fast while having fun

Yes, dish soap and maybe a large blue tarpaulin under it staked down. Maybe it will keep a grass mess to a minimum?

The babies were so excited, the way he hugged Peter before even taking the scooter. Thank you Peter for being such a Awesome Dad. Peter also maybe use your cricut machine to personalize the scooters and helmets.

Just a tip Peter. I noticed when you said to clean up so as to not get water in “YOUR” house. I believe it is important for children to hear it said “our” house. Probably just a slip.

I recommend baby shampoo over any other soap. This won't burn if it gets in their eyes. I'm over 60 now, but I still remember my mom bringing my sister and I to the beach to cool off when it was really hot out. We didn't really have adequate AC, so the pool or beach was the only way to really cool off. Sometimes we just went outside and squirted ourselves with the hose. NY can get just as hot and humid in the summer.

I was waiting to see you flying down the water slide with the kids. That would have been so exciting even more if you had join them sliding on the water slide. I enjoyed watching them on the water slide and their Scooter. Looking at that looked so fun. I cringed when I saw them in the street riding their scooter. They were so happy to get their scooter until the two new boys immediately gave you a hug. They looked like they really enjoyed themself. I enjoyed watching this video. I watched the video two times

I see that there’s a stop sign right at the corner by your house. I would start with some rules by teaching the kids that they need to obey the rules of the streets which would be stopping at that stop sign. The other rules would be to keep them on the sidewalks, during the hours that you tell them to. That could be the hours that parents are returning home from work or leaving in the morning. It does look like those scooters are very fast and fun for the kids.

In the summer time, I used to give my daughter a bath in her kiddie pool. She loved it and did not complain another taking a bath!

You can look up what kind of bubbles you can use on the slide. Then it will be slippery.

Do not put soap on it because they would get it in their eyes and way too much extra clean up.Also becomes too slippery and dangerous. I used to play on a yellow one called a wet banana when l was a child lol.That looked so fun.I am happy that they had so much fun.Thank you. Summer fun! Especially the slip & slide, we had a blue 1. So much fun! The kids need to remember that the faster you go; the ĥarder you fall! I'm so happy they got a lot of outdoor play. My brother & I did & we were healthier for it.

I love this video. It's so good for people who are normal and just love watching family fun However, there are creeps out there. So make sure that you dress your little girl in shorts or tights. Or a little swim skort. Water is immensely therapeutic for people. It's really good to see them in the water. Always get them outdoors Because it's so therapeutic for their physical and emotional health well-being. Good job papa.

Slip And Slide Soap That Won’t Kill Grass If you must use soap to reduce friction on a slip and slide, use gentle baby shampoo with a no-tears formula like Johnson’s Head-to-Toe Gentle Wash & Shampoo since it’s hard to avoid getting soapy water into your eyes during the fun. Many grass-safe dish soaps won’t provide the suds to keep the slip and slide slick, even if they contribute oils. Quality baby shampoo will be free of dyes, sulfate, phthalate, and paraben, and when the fun is over, you can hose down the grass to disperse any remaining baby shampoo to safe levels. Ref ==) backyarddigs - dont use Dawn, I use it to kill anthills , dries out grass Safe sliding- watch out for Bella, don't let her be a bowling pin for the other sliders. 😮

I would have bought the non-electric version which requires exercising the body. Electric version is too fast and electricity is expensive. And the kids just stand there. Was a bit scary, watching them scooting on streets. 😮

Half the fun of childhood are the scars, I mean stories, you make. Make sure you put the names on the inside of the helmets and under the scooters. This way strangers can't see the names and call them by it.
