This weekend we decided to have a lakeside BBQ just on the edge of Kyiv near our friend Kateryna and Jenia's apartment. Even though we thought summer had already started, it turns out that the rain would catch us.

Can an American really complain about Ukrainian price tags per 100g or 1kg? In the US, prices for similar products are displayed either per pound, per ounce or per whatever other customary unit 😂

In Sweden, we are allowed to make a fire for bbq unless there is a temporary fire ban due to drought and high fire risk. Cheers from Sweden 🍺

It's the same in Canada. We also regulate burning for air quality reasons. In the winter under certain weather conditions, wood stoves must not be used. The USA has similar regulations.

In Spain it’s forbidden throughout the entire summer to make a fire anywhere. Not even in already built bbq, only in your private property. Wildfires are quite a thing down here

There's no such a summer hot in Ukraine as in Spain. So rules aren't so strict. But sometimes forest fires is occur too.

In Latvia you can grill anywhere u want, even on your balcony and we even put one in city center, but after 2 hours cops asked politely to not do that but by a pond or lake its allowed, even have special places for that for free to use with wooden benches under a roof. Have u been in LV? I was in UK, nobody there swims, they go to pools mostly

Ukrainians are so down to earth. They like to do the real fun stuff like picnicking and drinking outdoors at a lake, this is my kind of fun! I am happy that the beautiful girls enjoy the occasion without looking down at a cellphone. This is so genuine! Love from Minnesota, USA! 💙💛

in Ukraine, you can make barbecue, with the exception of fire-dangerous places and in fire-dangerous weather. But if you don't clean up after yourself, you'll be fined if you get caught

in Denmark it's allowed to barbecue in woods, parks and beaches. But right now we have at drought, so some places i'ts temporaraly forbidden.

Beautiful neighborhood, can you imagine those high rises in the USA? They’d be be full of graffiti, rap music, and ‘teens’ playing basketball. Ukrainians have a wonderful demographic, I hope they realize this and do not take it for granted especially as they move closer to the ‘West’ which has ruined our own cities.

There is a river for that. If you need to chill your drinks, you just take a bag, a rope, put your drink bottles in the bag, put them in the water, and in 5-10 minutes the drinks are chilled xd I am from Ukraine.

Hi Johnny, in Wisconsin we can have grills anywhere in the park. Alot of parks have a barrel to put charcoal in afterwards.

In my town, you have to go to a specific picnic area with a barbeque grill,or private property with permission. Otherwise, some people may call local law enforcement.

It's allowed to have a barbecue wherever you want in Norway, but in the summer there are some restrictions sometimes if it hasn't rained for a while.

Some city guys rented our the Abb next door they pretty much cooked thier food with lighter fluid till i got there and explained you have to wait till the charcoal was ready before you cook 😆 🤣 😂

Our parks and lakes have them stationed around the parks and lakes maintained by the cities funded through local tax. Most even have playgrounds for kids while families BBQ. Even pavilions you can rent from the city.

Your picnic site looks just like sections of the Missouri River, outside St. Louis--where I live. I don't think you would have trouble using a BBQ on the banks, and it might be OK just to make a fire inside a ring of rocks. It depends on the land ownership. Inside a state park you would have to use designated fire pits. Usually people do that on gravel bars along the water, not in the weeds.

How much is a 4 pack of stella? Beer expensive here in Australia. $20 Aud for 6 bottles typically, $50 for 24. Generally not ok to have open fire in Brisbane, in a park usually fire restrictions apply. There are public electric BBQ everywhere though. I think Kate was trying to say she saw an Eel?

California isn't the entire country. That being said, the West coast has been having huge wildfires these past few yrs due to drought. One spark in the dry brush is all it takes. Good news is this past year has brought the water levels up.

In Ukraine, we can say that there is a tradition, if you went to a picnic and you did not contribute money to it, or contributed but very little, you can be told to cook, collect firewood, etc., so to speak (work off your food xd)

Velmart, but there isn't one close to me. So I go to ATB for everyday items, Novus for fruits and veggies, and Silpo only for bread.

In Russia it's the same way. Both countries are very big so only a small percent of men has been mobilized so far. Of course it's much harder in Ukraine, but still.
