Small tip when planting corn dig a trench about 4"s deep piling the dirt on the sides, after the corn is about a foot tall go back putting the dirt back in the trench and taking some more dirt from between the rows and hilling around the stalks. This will give the stalks support and the corn will root where you buried it also giving more support. 5 to 6 inch's between stalks is a good rule of thumb. You are doing well with your space limitations, like the raised beds.

Great video. Love the sky cam. Pruning is very important to plant growth and fruit baring. You learned you lessons well from Mom. Great idea for the green house frame. Those taters are amazing. Wow did they grow. Lookin' forward to more garden videos and maybe some cookin' recipes. 😀

I got 6 cucumbers off today. My wife and I had ranch wraps for supper this evening. I got 1 pear tomato too. We each had a bite of that. Made her happy. That's what counts! Hopefully by July 4th, we'll have enough cucumbers to make dill pickles.

Nina, I started pruning my tomato plants up to 6inches of all leaves from the base and it lets the stalks get stronger and blooms moreat the tops. They produce more fruits already and are healthier than nutrient robbing leaves can't eat leaves.🤠👍🤫🌅works for me.😉 Still learning stuff at 67 is pretty cool, Porkchop the watcher of the woods.🤫

Garden looks amazing. You being so far south are so far ahead of me up north where it’s been colder than normal. A good way to use a lot if that chard is to pick a lot of leaves and revive the stems and mud ribs. Break up the tender leafy parts into small pieces and cook them as you would spinach. Tastes almost the same

The River you're referring, is that the Barren or Green rivers, of course you can get to the Green but that's quite a Float through Bowling Green if on the Lake side of the river. I watched one of your videos where you mistakenly said you had a carp but in fact was a white Fresh water Drum (my Grandfather from Campbellsville called them "Rock Head Carp"), These are not a member of the Carp family, ever hear about Blackened Red Fish, here's it's Fresh water cousin and they are good to eat.

I love ya Nina but you're planting your corn too close together to produce much. I know your space is limited, but stalks should be around a foot apart or two stalks to a hill two feet apart. Just trying to help❤
@NinaRynd21011 ай бұрын
I tried that last year and did OK, a friend of mine locally did the 'bunching method' and had a higher yield than I, so I figured I'd give it a go. Worst case scenario, the squirrels are 3x happier.
