Summer Time Camp Out - Owl Wood | Multiple bow drill Embers | Hammock Camp | Flint And Steel

Hello everyone,
Hope you have all had a great week so far.
In this weeks video I hook up with Chris and Tony for a cracker of a summer camp. We head up to Owl Wood for a night of bushcrafting, good food and drink and lots of laughs.
After getting there we start to make camp, two of us choosing Hammocks as our beds for the evening and Tony opting to test out his new Pole Star tent by Alpkit.
We make good progress in collection fire wood to use in a age old fire pit for the evening's heat to cook up our delicious steaks and also provide smoke cover for all the mosquitoes. I break out the Bow Drill to light it and use different types of tinder to create a "birds nest" to get a flame. The Flint and Steel makes a appearance too!
After the evening meal we relax, share fun stories once again and have a all round fun time.
Upon waking up we got to work cleaning up the camp and leaving it as we found it then head back to civilisation.

Ant Sir Been looking forward to your next trip and here we are👍 Simply Superb And it looked like a great Enclosed Spot to do your stuff with at least a bit of shade in the little valley from the wind. Mind you you’re Rucksack amount looks like my normal trip On my way back from Aldi with my Shopping. (I must start doing home delivery🙈) Nice to see the Toastie machine out Again doing it’s thing,I’m using mine regular at home and it’s better than my electric one👍🙏 Loved this trip Ant and as always thanks for taking the time and effort doing these for us🙏🙏🙏

You're doing well with your Bow Drills, but when you put the ember in the WOOL, I thought to myself, he's going to find out the hard way here and cause a stink. Having Sheep, it hangs around for years on trees, it doesn't rot down and it doesn't burn at all well. I've taken to using it in the bottom of plant pots to hold moisture to stop them drying out. Hence folk want Wool Blankets, Trousers, Smocks etc. as the fire sparks don't touch them.

Hi the Robert, you just gotta try these things, remember pal I’m learning as I go buddy. It all sinks in and I always learn from my mistakes 👍. Yeah I’ve put the time in on the bow drill pal. Next push after the Lives is bow drill out in the sticks from scratch. As always buddy, thanks for your time and effort 👍
