true! i have a funni one, i was dueling with my friend, a blue eyes deck, and uhh, well both our LP were hanging on a thread, i would have lost, but then, the moment he was goin to attack me. "So uh, yeah i activate rock bombardment, i win the duel :)" and he didnt have any negate, it was the most weird way i won a duel in my entire life... ( he lost because his LP were 400, and rock bombardment does 500 dmg)

Battle trap are either dead on the board or win you the game. No in betweens.

those cards are very usefull, for example some semi meta or fast decks depend on sumoning many times, so usually u can lock them with cards as shaddoll winda etc, but when u already have a good field usually you win unlike they set cards like that or quaking miror force returning all to your deck.

Modern day monsters have so many "Negate an effect that targets ~", "Negate an effect that would destroy ~" or "~ is unaffected by ~" but very few of these would interact with Damage Prevention or Redirection. originally Magic Cylinder wasn't used much because, it only stopped 1 attack, and didn't kill the monster. now since 1 monster can be enough to kill you, and removing monsters is either impossible or very easy. being able to throw your opponent OTK back in their face is very useful

I used to be a boomer yugi player, and I don't have a problem with how fast the game is now. My biggest issue is the sheer amount of generic omni-negates that any deck can run. Dude Solemn was forbidden for SO LONG because of how strong ONE omni-negate is, like people would be perfectly fine to sac life points for it because it's worth it to kill a board, but now with so many ways of just winning turn one because you force your opponent to not even play, is not fun. C-YGO is nothing but battles between who can negate the other more and it's boring and unintuitive. There used to be strategy involved, your extra deck was like your toolbox of things used when the occasion called for it, why bother with any of that when you can just negate their whole hand? Next up, they may as well take Delinquent Duo off the list too, one omni-negate is effectively the same difference.

​@@point-five-oh6249 I remember my last duel I went 2-0 against Qli. It and Pendulum in general pissed me off so much that I left the game. In retrospect, Towers was at least balanced around _having_ to use Qli monsters. It'd be fine if omni-negates were _extremely_ archetype specific, but they aren't. Like you said, monsters like Baronne and Borreload are staples in any extra deck because they shut down the field before your opponent can do anything. That's why "going second" cards like TCOBO and Dark Ruler No More are extremely unfair, because the alternative is playing an expensive game of rock-paper-scissors.

@@b.b.s7545 It was definitely power bond. The same guy beat me a lot & had used both on a couple of occasions. The 16000 attack Cyber End Dragon had me stressing, so I added cards like Magic Cylinder & Draining Shield into my deck 😂

I love speaking about this because I miss the days where I had 3 or 5 way duels with friends every weekend & dueled each other in 1v1 daily. Felt like we were in our own yugioh show 😂
