Yep, I completely agree and shame on me for not using jack stands in the video. I didn't take the wheels off, and never put my body in a place where I could get hurt of the van came off the jack... but it doesn't matter. Always use jack stands! Now I just need to follow my own advice. 🙂

I didn't put a lift on the van, so it was easier to just keep the stock size wheels/tires (225/75-R16). We went with the GF-X MV2 wheels with BFG KO2 tires.

Hey TT, Great addition to your van. We have the same van and added Sumo Springs as well. Probably the best upgrade you can do for the Promaster chassis!! See you changed your wheels/tires…looked like KO2’s…what brand/size/offset wheel and brand/size tire are you using and does that setup seem to work ok? Been following you guys from the start, even did a similar shelf over the stove like you did. Keep up the videos…STAY💯👍👍👍mike and Lu R. in NC🇺🇸

Sorry for the long delay in responding. My wife does the vides and I apparently don't check back here often enough. 🙂 We kept the stock size wheels/tires (225/75-R16) and went with the GF-X MV2 wheels (45mm offset) with BFG KO2 tires. Been really happy with them so far. I did have some trouble getting them to balance at first, and finally purchased a set of hub centering rings on Amazon (very cheap) and that made a huge difference. Centering ring has a 84.10mm OD and a 78.10mm ID.

I think the KO2 ride quality is pretty good. However, they are definitely more noisy than the factory tires. That said, we like the way they look enough to overlook the additional road noise. 😊

I do love the new wheels/tires! It really changes the overall look of the van for sure. We kept the stock size wheels/tires (225/75-R16) and went with the GF-X MV2 wheels with BFG KO2 tires.

Dude, lay a piece of cardboard on the gravel before laying down. It makes a world of difference, and you can slide in and out so much easier. An old broken down box or something. This is coming from your motocamping buddy.

Lol - yeah old cardboard has been my go-to forever - you don't have to clean it - just throw it away or burn it also. I was thinking the same thing (and jack stands - that's 9,000 pounds above you!).
