@shilohtheicesnowwolf-kitsu8795 I remember how there were multiple times it was foreshadowed that Sun would die. Hopefully, that's not the case, and if it is, then at least we'll know he'll come back. I guess we'll have to see what happens next, and who knows, maybe we'll get Old Moon back since New Moon is driving his family away when he told him to protect them and that he will make him pay one way or another.

@@Nightmaresalife I hope so too, with all the issues revolving around trying to get Solar to come back and all I wouldn’t be surprised if and it’s a very slim if New Moon does bring back Solar..geez hell is gonna break loose..the possibility Sun dying and Solar coming back to his family which is now in the process of being ruined..it’s getting out of hand, with one plot twist after another, idea after idea..in a way..New moon is starting to remind me of Solar’s moon, which in Solar’s dimension his Moon was so hellbent on bringing back his Sun..now in the dimension we all know, New Moon is hellbent on getting Solar back..

I'm not blaming him for leaving.. and I also can't blame him for telling computer to shock Moon because Sun doesn't want Moon to kill himself with star's power or hurt himself.. And yet some people don't see how hard this situation is for Sun... And Sun also tries unlike Old Moon.. who could stay with Sun and Sun would eventually open up.. but Moon chose to deal with other things.. what happened to Sun back then was Old Moon's fault.. there’s a difference between being a logical and reasonable and choosing not to be yes foxy may have the right idea but forcing sun who has literally watched his whole world come crumbling around him He’s had to walk away from his twin brother watched as his brother tore his sister apart not physically obviously mentally knows his little brother is in danger and he’s not doing mentally well either so do you blame him for being hesitant Monty literally says moon is the one thing sun has had since he began life.

Exactly, they cannot simply replace a troubled family member with another version of themselves everytime something like this happens to make things easier! There would be no growth, no progress, just an endless cycle of resets. I already miss my sweet, gentle New Moon, he grew on me more then OM ever could, he became a big comfort character for me.😔💔🌙

Admittedly, I was upset when they first introduced new Moon, because I was so used to the old one, but I’ve grown attached to his character after watching his character development. He’s a much better brother than the old Moon _ever was._ It wasn’t until we got to see a Moon _actually_ love and care for Sun in comparison to how the original one acted that they really drew attention to how abusive he was, both verbally and physically, towards Sun. Sure, he had his moments where he genuinely cared for Sun, but you can’t really overlook the fact that he realised _way too late_ that he genuinely cared about Sun. Before that, he regularly yelled at him, spoke down to him like he was stupid and physically hit him on a regular basis because he _thought it was funny._ The original AI are plenty evidence of the way he treated Sun. Their personalities were modelled after Moon, and they acted mean to Sun, calling him stupid and a ‘test subject’ because they picked up the habit from Moon, so he probably talked about him like that when he wasn’t around too. Sun went through so much trauma because of his brother and it took him _so long_ to heal and move on from it. Bringing back the person who caused that trauma is going to make all of that resurface and he’s going to have to go back through that process all over again. Unlike the old Moon, the new one has loved and cared for Sun right from the beginning, and while he’s lost his temper once or twice, he’s done nothing but try to keep his family safe, and to make up for his predecessor’s mistakes. I know he said some hurtful things, but they _knew_ he was going to do that - Sun even warned Earth that he would do that to get them to leave. Just because of some hurtful things he said while lashing out, they gave up on him _so fast._ His family gave up on him almost instantly, so it’s no wonder he gave up on himself. He gave up everything so long as he could keep his family safe, but now he can’t even do that and he’s still lost his family anyway. They’ve really let him down.

@@pastelnebula Puppet wants to talk with Sun now. She seemed to be pissed at the fact that Foxy sees BM more like an object than an actual person. I hope she shares the same sentiment with Moon. And I pray that Sun musters up the courage to be there for his brother and necessarily 'take a hit'; Foxy said he couldn't ask Sun to do that, but Sun wanted to interrupt him there. Moon needs his brother to come back down to reality. He said so himself that 'Sun is his light that pulls him back from the darkness.'

That’s kind of like a good plot idea suggestion. But then what will happen after moon realizes what he’s done/snaps out of it? Will he get revenge for whoever “kills” sun or will he just have grief about suns fake death and then find out that sun is alive?. That’s the only questions I have about this plot, but besides that it is a pretty good one if moon actually falls for it if it happens.

I think so too. This way New Moon doesn't have to outright "die", this would be a double standard at this point. And he'd get a better sense of self again. OM's sacrifice doesn't have to be in vain, he'd be back in a sense since experiences also shape a person. Both OM and NM's experiences form Moon's character even further. This can have a stabilizing effect on him.

Some of the things he said was that he isn't going to kill new moon and replace him with Old moon, unless it's 100% safe and doesn't kill new moon. He also said that he won't let Monty do anything dangerous to moon unless Necessary

Moon already said so himself, if they don't want him to be part of the family anymore, he can always go somewhere else, i.e. another dimension Rick and Morty style. So in a way, *they* pushed *him* away as well. And the idea to basically euthanize Moon to bring OM back with the possibility of it working on nothing more then just a 'maybe' is incrediblly selfish of Monty. I get that they miss their buddy and are upset about their girlfriend feeling bad. But in what way would they be doing better than Moon right now then? I welcome the idea of unlocking OM's memories so Moon can be cured of his amnesia. This way OM can be brought back in a way. He'd remember his past friendship with Monty too and could rekindle it better. But most of all, Sun wouldn't have to lose his brother like this ever again. He'd even get him back in his entirety, a Full Moon.

@amiiredhead2676 My thought is to put him in another dimension BEFORE he tries his plan, so it doesn't affect this dimension. I was under the impression that they would bring back Old Moon in full, and New Moon would be erased. If they just implant Old Moon's memories, one of three things could happen: 1. He becomes Old Moon but with updated memories, 2. The memories feel second-hand and New Moon doesnt treat them like HIS memories, but rather a file of memories for him to reference (think the avatar from last airbender contacting previous incarnations), or 3. A third Moon is created with both memories, 'killing' New Moon and, as Sun says in another video, he has to go through all of this again when the next version of Moon inevitably goes insane. Option 2 would be the most "moral" but that is a VERY low bar.

Like OM once said, Sun would rather throw himself to the wolves before they get to maul Moon.

Old Moon at this point is the baseline backup of Moon's system, the foundation if you will. New Moon is build on top of this foundation by his system, as the reset. This reset runs on factory setting, that means he is the closest we can get to the 'Real Moon' Sun once talked about. Real Moon was way more considerate of Sun's feelings and read bedtime stories to the kids, New Moon clearly takes more after these traits. In the foundation that OM is also lie memories of their past, that NM doesn't have access to. One way of merging them both could be NM gaining access to these hidden memory files of OM. Experiences and memories also shape a person. Foxy is right about that. But at the end of the day both Moons are the same person with different experiences. So a drastic change in personality is not to be expected.
