I love all the Sunday dinners with the Morrows ❤. It takes me back to my childhood when every Sunday we would go to my grandparents home and have our Italian feast. My grandparents came over from Italy 🇮🇹 in the 1920’s and legally became citizens. They were so proud. I’ve been watching the hurricane so please all be safe ❤❤❤

Hi Pawpaw, I’ve been following your weather in Plum Grove since the flood and I see this morning it says your “Beryl” rain will begin tonight and all day Monday into Tuesday AM. They’re predicting lots of rain and sustained winds of 50 mph. I know it can change quickly but I’m praying Morrow Hill is spared any flooding or wind damage. The goulash I used to make has tomato chunks, ground beef, corn and a little sliced celery in it. And yes there are pear tarts and pear pies made similar to apple pies.

PawPaw we make pear pies all the time. The canning pears work best because they don't break down like the Barlett ones do. You can also make pear cobbler, pear honey ( which isn't honey but a combination of pears, pineapple and shredded coconut). Happy Sunday from Southeast Alabama

For it being a wild kitten it took to Elora right away and then Kim. Kim made the comment she wasn't looking for a kitten but you can tell she has totally fallen in love already. I wonder if Elora is going to want him back after they get home from vacation or maybe the dog doesn't do well with cats. I also love seeing Baby laying on the chair by you at the end of the video. Good morning pawpaw. I made goulash one night and got to thinking it was just like homemade spaghetti except for the elbow noodles. I posted a picture and my recipe in a FB group called Appalachian food and recipes and I ask was I fixing it right. It’s got some 1500 likes and over 500 comments. A lot of it were people arguing saying it’s was not true goulash. Goulash originated in Hungary and was more like a stew. I learned my style was called American goulash, chop Suey and if you add cheese, a cheeseburger mac. It’s crazy how foods are Americanized and given a whole different perspective or recipe. Either way it is good and I love it. Kim’s kitty is adorable, and she has come along way with that kitty.
