As someone with NO kids or partner and lives alone at almost 30, I have to make time for myself equally as much. Those adulting thoughts go through my head 24/7 too 😩 Your vlogs are my favourite part of your channel now because they inspire me to keep adulting and bring me new food ideas! ❤️

I am a mom of the girl, every single evening I lock myself into bathroom and have bath for 2 hours. Just me and a bath, and peace. Absolutely love it.

I always feel so guilty when I have me time! I know my husband is 100% on board with me having a moment to myself, but I always feel like I need to rush home. As hard as it is, the only way I can be the best for my family is if I take some time to reset for myself! Thank you Haley for reminding me of that. 🩷

Thank you so much for the shoutout regarding mommy self care. It is so important for moms to know that it is ok to want and take some time for themselves. It is also good for your children, knowing that mom can leave and will return is important developmentally. Besides, when mom is happy, everyone is happy🤣❤️ YOU GO MAMA!

I don’t have kids yet but understand what you’re talking about. Mental load is the term I’ve heard which refers to all the cognitive behind-the-scenes effort someone puts into keeping a home and family running. I manage the household for my husband and I so I have the mental checklist of things to do/monitor. I am terrified that I will be completely stressed out when we have kids 😣 Because of this I’ve been working to develop a routine for us and to automate as many purchases and tasks as I can now (thank you auto subscribe and technology!) so that it will hopefully become like second nature. It’s so important to have those little moments to just be present like you said and to count your blessings ❤ you go mama ❤

I get to school 30 mins before pick up so that I can have that half-hour to myself, in the car. I bring a cup of tea and a book and it's the best part of my day. If the weather is nice, I go for a walk, instead. I love my family, but that's the best part of my day. you go, mama!

OMGOSH !! Being a mom i have three kids! 12 year old girl, 8 year old boy, and 1 year old girl lol!!! my hubby is the most helpful person, but for some reason doesnt understand me wanting my alone time . i do get the alone time but my 12 year old daughter is always craving alone time with me. so its tough lol but nothing beats being a mom :D having ages so separate they help so much with my little baby.

Just found your channel and watching videos at random and I know what you mean. I call it my mama me time. I just get a coffee and wander target and Trader Joe’s on Saturday mornings. I look forward to it all week. 😂 I used to feel guilty about it but now I remind myself that my husband goes into an office for 8 hours a day 5 days a week plus his commute time and that’s when he has time to decompress, listen to music, and have time to himself.

I’m a FTM to a 10m old babygirl that I’m still nursing (my goal is a year). Also I WFH with no childcare. I’m married to a loving & helpful husband. Alone time is scarce, everywhere I go baby goes too. I love her to pieces. When I do have a moment to myself it’s glorious! I watch all your videos while nursing baby to sleep bc it’s nice & quite uninterrupted time. Soft tacos all the way! Your content is so helpful to me Hayley thank you. Particularly this kind bc I need all the help with managing a home without feeling overwhelmed. I also love your videos on how to dress modest but cute. You go mama!

Quick note: This type of sweet potatoes are more to be eaten directly once cooked otherwise they will be a bit dry like regular potatoes made in the oven. Their texture is different than the orange sweet potatoes that are more mushy. 😊

Single mom of one kid !! And his dad is in prison and did helped me out much before he got taken away from both of us !! I got family but it's kinda rare if I do got help back up for my son I take him along with me so i also don't feel alone and he has me his mom and its nice for me to have some alone time for certain activities that i cant take have my son with me ♡ ♡

I am married with 3 kids and this is the first year that all 3 kiddos are in school. So now I love spending every moment with them since I miss them 6 hrs everyday while they are at school. My me time is once they go to bed I love to curl up with a good book. Curious though what brings you to Florida, is your husband from there? Me and my husband are both fellow Canadians and we to use to live and work in Florida for 4yrs. Once we decided to get married and start having children though we knew we wanted to be close to family so we then moved back to Canada. Do you guys have much family down there? Anyways I love your thrifting videos so keep them coming.❤

😁 Sourdough bread does not take a week, it takes 2 days- the first day preparing the dough and the second day baking it ! It does take about a week to create a sourdough starter, and then you have it living on your counter or in your fridge depending on how often you bake. You use a little bit of it each time you bake instead of yeast 😊 I totally recommend trying to make it some day, it's so healthy and delicious 😋

As an 18 year girl girl who’s mom has given up on those tasks and thoughts and who’s stepdad isn’t really present. I have those thoughts as well. It probably sounds so silly but I have to manage my internship, school, job and taking care of my sister as well. I can say im going through such a tough time rn but I know at the end of the day it’ll all be okay and non the less I know G-d is always watching over me .

Well i live on my own but i have neighbors that depend on me alot im pretty busy on the weekends with choir practice and church so the only day i get is Tuesdays to reset and do nothing i love nap times thats my saving grace Sunday afternoons are my favorite time after church i miss the days when everybody was closed on Sundays each to their own. 😊

I had both worlds, now that you picked the topic. I had a single life when I had my first marriage had it all wrk, kids, home chores, busy mum. Married no kids. I'm a homemaker so I'm on my own during the weekdays. I love when my husband comes home from the office! We grocery shop together as well, he carries the heavy stuff for me 😜 Trader Joe's coffee is so good! They have Gingerbread coffee right now in the cutest tin!
