thanks for the insight! i generally hear the first chord played as maj instead of dom; do you mainly play it as a dominant so you can cycle down?

Just saw your comment now, Eric. I favor the first chord in this tune as a dominant because it feels more blues-oriented to me. Thanks for watching.

If you prefer the major sound you can use almost the same fingering. Just move your middle finger up one fret, from A flat to A. Both have their appeal.
