Sunfire Upgrades and repairs.

So this video is a basic look at the Sunfire broke down and put back together. A Very basic look at how things fit together and some running footage of my Blue Sunfire. Most of the parts going into my Red Sunfire are actually Redcat Tornado parts. I’m going to make another video when parts come in and if I’m lucky I can fit a slide in motor mount. I will probably continue to modify and work on my 2 buggies because they are fun and parts are reasonable if you only buy what you need and stay with stock parts. These cars are definitely not made for bashing but they handle well and are somewhat compact for a 1/10 scale.

Thanks GB. They don't perform anywhere near as good as an Arrma but they should be plenty fast.

Thanks Duke. I tried to show the guts of the car. Still waiting on rear end parts and I'll show that. The Sunfire is basically the same as the Tornado so hopefully it helps someone.

Seen u ripping the typhon out on the BMX track by harveston want u to look out for me with my ramp I post up at the harveston baseball fields on the Ynez side and launch into the soccer fields from the parking lot always a good time with my senton and tyhpon when launching 60ft plus!! Your more than welcome to join the launch party!!!

That sounds like a great idea. I would love to join you. I could bring my Typon and MT-10 and see how they do. Just let me know when your heading over there next time and I will definitely look for you. I'm not sure how well I'll do but I can help shoot video of your rigs if you want. Honestly I might get into crawlers just to save money on repairs but my Typhon is super easy to repair and I don't mind sending it.

Thanks buddy. The rims are actually made for crawlers and the rim inserts have a larger hole than what is common for a standard 12mm axel. I have no idea but it seems like there might be some other insert for these rims. AXSPEED 4x 2.2" Alum Beadlock Wheel Rims for 1/10 RC Crawler Axial Wraith TRX-4. Does the Wraith have a larger than normal axel or is it just the way the rims are sold. The hex and wheel nut keep them centered fine so far but I'm just wondering about the hole size. Thanks in advance.....

They are both Exceed RC Sunfires. Same exact buggy as the Redcat Tornado. They have been around for a long time and you can still get them. Well the Redcat for sure.

Thanks for checking them out. The Sunfire is basically a Redcat Tornado with a different name. I'm fairly certain that the HPS is the same as well. I used to use E-bay but found that Amazon has more stuff. I attempted to buy stuff from Exceed RC recently and never could check out with my items. So I went to Redcat and they have all the stock parts and some upgrades. You can get stuff from China but it takes a long time to receive. Bottom line is Amazon and Redcat Tornado Parts is what I look for.
