If Shilese is injured, I see her competing all around in Paris. Jordan has lower difficulty even though her program is clean. We can see a Biles Lee one two in the all around. I think it's a shame Russia isn't competing because the US has very little opposition without Russia in the mix.

Rebecca Andrade is a lock for silver (given Biles doesn't have any huge mistake), so Suni would definitely be in the mix for bronze. You never know but I would love to see Biles and Suni be the AAers!

​@@BettyBrown-jt4fhI don't think so. Jordan has a much higher scoring and more difficult floor that scores better not only domestically but also internationally. The floor should be Simone, Jade, and Jordan.

@@omglauraelizabeth Jordan is my 100% fave, and I am thrilled that she will be on the team, and will probably be 3rd AA. But Suni has a better AA program. She had uncharacteristic mistakes on 3 of 4 events, and still got third place, broke 56, and was only 0.375 behind Jordan. While Jordan was close to her peak score. Again, this is not a knock on Jordan, but Suni has the stronger AA program.

She is right up there with Eythora Thorsdittir when it comes to artistry on floor but with more difficulty.

Only time she's ever been credited for the double L was 2019 floor ef

Had the pleasure of seeing her live at worlds last year and she's truly unmatched! A shame we won't get to see her in Paris 😢

The issue is she still would have to do a forward pass. Her forward pass currently isn’t a D value so she would have to keep her second pass and end in a double lay if she want to increase the D more

​@tulip5677 triple twists judging has been very strict this quad, there's already been instances of it being de valued (alice kinsella had pretty solid triple twists and hers still got de valued internationally) so it's become a risky move, plus I believe it just carries more deductions than say a double tuck or a full in (equal value)

Her form and landing on her chuso is somewhat similar to Andrade. I've seen Suni training it in 2020 but this is the first time ive seen her perform it. Bravo.

She was third overall all around behind simone and jordan! I believe she can get 2nd behind simone on the 2nd night ‘cause she didn’t perform a clean vault (kayla got injured right before suni went up and suni was in tears glad she could perform the vault at least), got big deductions on beam and not full difficulty and same on bars i think she missed a connection. Overall had a great meet but not her best, hope that she’ll show us what she really is capable of on the 2nd night cause we know she can

Why is it that y'all like to compare everyone to Simone while tearing her down in the process? This entire event is to determine the US Olympics TEAM, but you're determined to keep everyone separate based on personal biases. We get you don't like Simone, but at the end of the day, you can not separate her from her accomplishments and her value to TEAM USA. Stop with stupid comparisons and just be grateful that BOTH are representing America.

The commentator at the end of the team final in Rio after Simone did her floor routine stated that 'Simone Biles, re-defining the meaning of power and elegance, taking it to a whole new level". Yes, Simone is POWER elegance while Suni is SUPPLE elegance but both incredible gymnasts and yes Americans should feel very happy and grateful that these two are competing for the US.

NO. A gymnast can do a two or three pass routine as long as their passes fulfill the Composition Requirement which is that the gymnast must perform a forward/sideway and a backward salto.

@@jakeperalta3493 Well, let us remember what Suni is dealing with. I think her coach (es) have constructed all her routines well to this point. We might see some upgrades further down the road but I think what she has is more than enough to make the team, which is the ULTIMATE aim right now.
