I'm turning the Feywild into a playable realm for our Dungeons and Dragons campaign, focusing in this video on Dutch Folklore, specifically a ghostly underwater city, The Flying Dutchman, and The Cat and the Cradle.
Thank you as always, and comment below any Feywild or D&D topics you want to see me cover!

This is just what I needed. In my campaign, there is a landmark area known as Pixie Forest and is completely covered in a thick fog that causes confusion and hallucinations whenever someone enters in it for too long. Through interactions with the denizens of the forest, as well as other fey creatures outside of Pixie Forest, they have learned that the fog is related to the Feywild. Even outside of the forest, when they ran into another separate area with strange fog, they found another fey creature, and even a portal directly to a twilight realm (a little pocket dimension that this powerful fey creature resided in). One of the characters backstory also provided more insight as well as in their backstory they saw an entire continent, known as the Dragon Isles, became slowly consumed in fog over many years (Her character is a homebrew mermaid race whose colony would pass by the Dragon Isles during the changing seasons). After much brainstorming and observing how the fog would strangely flow in and out during certain times of the day, they connected that these pockets of the fog they have run into are somehow connected to the fog that has engulfed the Dragon Isles. They are planning to eventually set sail Westward to the Dragon Isles once they have acquired the resources to do so. They were even recruited by a Sailor Captain (pirate) during session 1 who has been wanting to create a crew for so long. Perhaps in their efforts to acquire a ship, the captain can tell them of an old sailor story of a ghostly ship that can sail through any mist or fog. Perhaps the legend of such a ghostly ship would be their best way of cutting through the hallucinogenic fog and towards the Dragon Isles.

Great video! I’m Dutch myself, and my personal favourite bit of folklore has always been ‘het Solse Gat’, or the Sols Pit. The pit is a real sinkhole in the midst of our biggest forest region, the Veluwe. Legend says it used to be a monastery. In a sense it’s kind of like the lost city. The people there were lazy, were drinking all the time, and eating themselves full. So they made a deal with the devil, to keep this lifestyle forever and the devil provided all the food and wine. This went on for a long time, until one Christmas evening. It was storming heavily that night, and all the people kept to their houses in fear of the storm. Until they heard one big lightning strike. When day came, a small boy went to look at the church. The monastery was fully gone, and only a hole and path remained. However, with the disappearance of the monastery, peace in the forest did not return. Strange, scary noises regularly sounded around Solse Gat at twelve o'clock at night. Sound that resembled the ringing of monastery bells. At first it sounded soft, but the volume usually increased to an anxious and imposing sound. You can still hear it at night according to some. When the ghosts of the church goers awaken, and ring the bells once more.

That just gave me so many ideas. I already had a seaside town populated by undead and necromancers. Your idea for the ghost port fits in perfectly. What if the town is a hot spot for the inhabitants because ships from the underworld periodically make port to trade for living world goods and they trade these goods for underworld goods? There’s so many places to go. Maybe a ship gets lost at sea by accidentally sailing into the Bermuda Triangle, which is really a portal to the underworld coast and they end up in this creepy town of undead.
