We were shocked to see just how wild the atmosphere is. We would say that Zhangjiajie, China knows how to party. This was one of our favourite nights in China for sure.

An important factor for China to develop so well is that there is no hatred and war between ethnic groups. The Chinese government has done a good job in this regard, so China is getting stronger and stronger. I sincerely hope that Palestinians and Israelis can sit down and have a good talk. The main ethnic group in Zhangjiajie is the Miao people, whose ancestor Chiyou is the archenemy of the Han Chinese ancestors Huangdi and Yandi. Despite this, we love each other like family.

@@sunkissedbucketlist China is such a very huge place that is larger than Europe, with some 5,000+ years of history that it is virtually impossible to see what China is in just a few weeks or even months. One will have to spend years to see "everything" - which is impossible, in the same way as it is not possible to see the whole of the continental United states in just a few weeks either.

Zhangjiajie's minority ethnic are mainly Miao people and Yao people, and seldom Muslims. Muslims do cuisine business all over the country, even every university and college canteen has halal restaurant, though maybe there are only a dozen Muslim students in the college, It's for respect. So everyone knows halal food

And the major minorities in Zhangjiajie and the whole western Hunan province also includes Tujia, Dong, Zhuang and Bai ethnic groups. Miao people in the region only ranked 3rd or 4th place in population. Maybe due to close ethnic relations between Miao with Tujia and Dong, visitors sometimes rekon them in the same Hmong/Miao minority

Muslims are NOT of any particular ethnicity or race. It is a religion, a belief and anyone from any ethnicity can be a Muslim (or a Buddhist or a Christian or an Animist or a Hindu). Please note this.

Appreciate your video❤ I grew up in a north west province Ningxia in China where is a multi-ethnic place, about 1/4 population is Moslem. Halal food you see at Zhangjiajie could meet the needs of Moslem tourists (domestic) who strictly eat halal food only and travel everywhere. Actually in many Chinese cities there’re halal food street, such as Shanghai, Jinan, Xian. Also, there are halal food selling in chain supermarket in many cities in north China. There are many Moslem population living in north and west cities than you can think, their looking is almost same as Han people (the largest ethnic group in China) so it’s hard to tell only basing on appearance. Enjoy your stay in China!

哈哈，我们去年也去自驾游过这里。也是在高速公路上看到了七十二奇楼的样子感觉很新奇，所以在离开张家界之前专门开车过去看一看，结果却是一个非常好玩的地方！！！很多的表演，美食！

0:40 I had that exact same look when I went in! Yeah! I went in completely not realising what it was. I asked my taxi driver what the building was on my way down from the train station. "Wow, is that a hotel with mall?" He told me it was "all a stage and it was all fake" so I thought I misunderstood him or he was being philosophical and life is just a play but yeah, the whole concept is just incredible.

hahah. generally we Chinese regard the modern artificial buildings as "Fake", contrary to the nature sightseeing or the ancient buildings with traditional culture. however the artificial is fun and amazing too, we just believe the later two are more worth to visit. 🤣

@@Z_Wg Chinese sense of humor is very different from the West. We can be sarcastically funny but a Westerner may believe that we are being serious. so, to us, the word, "fake" has connotations that it is "not natural" rather than the structure being just some "hollow shell". Conversely, if the building has been set up as a huge stage for shows, it can also be regarded as "a fake" since that is like the "props" in a show and it is not a real building for human habitation.

maybe that place is some kind of ethnic village theme town or something. I saw hui muslim stalls and the uyghur naan stall. also saw other ethnic cultural stuff too like miao and bai outfits. kind of expensive for the tickets though, maybe that's why you're like the only ones I've seen who have vlogged it 😅

Let me tell you quietly, most people in China are introverted and do not make proactive advances because they are afraid of disturbing others. But when you smile at them and try to communicate, most people will be happy to communicate with you. 😊

This is partly true. I won't say that they are introverted (I am a Chinese) but more like reserve and definitely conservative. However, once the "ice is broken", they will generally reveal a totally different side of their character and sometimes, take you on an intergalactic whirlwind flight (after many glasses of whiskey) and dinners in which they will fight you to the death for them to pay for.

Lib and Taz, for your information, the Halal stalls you saw are indeed Shanxi/Xingjiang cuisines and yes, I can see mostly are Muslim style. As far as I understand, Zhangjiajie is not demographically a Muslim territory. My guess is these food stalls are managed by a catering company with a licensed contract with the theme park to provide all restaurant, food stalls. Its likely that these Halal shops are simply to fulfill the variety taste buds of tourists (some might only eat Halal food). As the matter of fact by reading the signs, the food stalls and restaurants are from all over China and not particularly fixated by one or two provinces. You guys, great video, I love it !!!

You guys are like wow, wow , wow, amazing. It's like being reborn and the first time seeing things. I'm not surprised. I'm also amazed at this night scene with theatrical plays Zhangjiajie offers. I have been to the scenic spots less than 2 months ago coming from Perth Australia. Can't wait to come back again to see this and more of China.

The stage in the middle is the "Parliament" Night Club 百樂門 in Shanghai from the 1920-30s. It's the replica of the club and interesting that they brought them there all the way from Shanghai 1920's. 😂❤

Yes, the Hui ethnic group in China is predominantly Muslim. They are one of the officially recognized ethnic minority groups in China, and they follow Islam as their religion. The Hui ethnic minority resides in Zhangjiajie, which is located in the Hunan province of China.

Zhangjiajie City has been inhabited by Hui ancestors since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In fact, the Hui (an ethnic group mostly practicing Islam) are the fourth largest of the local minority ethnic groups. The food street you visited should be Hui food street ,

I guess that that multi-story, fascinating building you said unoccupied, is designed to simulate Heaven Mountain and the cave. Now I do hope I can make a trip to Zhangjiajie in the near future! 😊
