My Tecomate Sunn Hemp was delivered a couple weeks ago, can't wait for the soil temp to come up high enough to plant!

The three maidens one grew tall one climbed up and one spread out, you just need a squash or gourd variety

Do you cut it at any time? Or just let it die off

Sunn hemp needs lots of water to grow, it’s a pain in drought areas

my question is this... where does sunn hemp originate from? I'm big on trying to plant as close as a native species I can and if not native one that can be easily controlled. Do not want to start planting another Autumn Olive! also guessing being a legume it is a perennial?

Its perennial and native to india.

But since it's a "tropical" plant it will die if your winters are severe. Glad you're considering native plants vs invasives.
