Wow, and there I was wondering why I'm struggling to become an entrepreneur... Meanwhile I was behaving like a creator - worrying myself with all the metrics that really don't matter! I don't have a KZfaq channel but I always fell for the "likes" metric on my IG page & now it all makes sense what you've been teaching all along Sunny - that metric is important for content creators. And I ain't trying to be one, hahaha! I'm so excited to officially join AA tomorrow :) I actually just got off a call with Connor - my joy is through the roof! I've waited for this moment for over a year now. At last, WE ARE HERE! Thank you for continuously and consistently being such a massive inspiration to us, Sunny. I don't comment often but I've watched you tirelessly because of all the passion, wisdom & generosity you put into your channel. Can't wait to be just a tiny bit like you - that will be more than enough for me :)

Terrific video, thanks so much! I agree that quality rather than quantity of viewers is so important. My biz is very niche (brand new attorneys who need to learn practical skills to do their jobs) and isn't meant for a wide audience. I'm definitely in the entrepreneur camp. Thanks for the great info on analytics, too. I've been debating whether a KZfaq channel is right for me to drive people to buy my course, and after listening to you, I know it is. You're a terrific speaker and deserve all your success. Best, Lesa

Good teaching, as usual Sunny. Especially metrics that matter vs. vanity metrics. I'm learning this too. My house sitting videos get the least views but really get my payment notifications going. I'm thinking about switching to a different email provider that tracks where each lead magnet click came from to help me see how well that video did. Also, CTR is difficult to compare from one video to another, because if the algorithm opens the floodgates on a video, the CTR will take a nosedive. Doesn't mean the thumbnail isn't performing well. Just means the impressions really took off. While a video can have a high CTR just because basically only Notification Gang was recommended the video so it's getting very few impressions.

Hey Sunny, haven't watched in a while. Just wanted to say this is super valuable information. A lot of these things I have come across through my own experience. Especially about evergreen content. I have videos that keep getting regular views and over time they keep brining in quality comments and many thankful people. Those are my review videos. I would say my strategy has been content creator so I have been in that boat of making various video types that probably messes with the algorithm because they vary in video type and style. I plan to stick more closely to more review videos as they seem to be providing the most value for the people who tune into my channel and also they are getting me interest from companies that want to promote their products as well. So it's working in two ways for me. Watching your videos always gives more clarity to what is being experienced even from my perspective so thanks for that! :)

Hi Sunny! I recently got some comments on my business YT channel saying that they don’t know why my channel isn’t as big as X channel. I didn’t know how to explain that we don’t care about being super viral because we’re still able to live from our online business with the “small” audience that we have on YT because we’ve learned to talk to the right people and convert (part of it because of what you’ve taught us over the years, so thank you 😊). Now I know that I’m an entrepreneur and not a creator. I needed to hear the difference and be reminded of what matters. Thank you for everything you do.

@RVersity2 жыл бұрын
Wow Sunny this was very thorough. Love 💕 the visuals!! Great reminder about the metrics as in my niche most are “creators” - they share all about their travels and RV life. I’m more of an entrepreneur who teaches people how to get into the RV lifestyle. I have seen the spikes or lack their of but then see amazing retention on certain videos so I get what you are saying about the numbers seeming disheartening! And you’re right this video only scratches the surface of creating an online course or attracting the right audience with KZfaq! I wish I would’ve known this before creating a channel. Also, I’d LOVE advice on how to FIX an existing channel? Is it to create more ideal viewer content and forget the old videos you did? Does it eventually fix itself overtime? Sometimes I feel like I’m trying to get rid of old viewers (subs) that joined for the wrong reasons or aren’t interested in my content so they skew my numbers??? Hope that makes sense! Loved this one Sunny!!! 😘 - Bloggin Brandi
