Anyone who disagrees with you is wrong, and i don't even like KH that much. That game is beautifully designed in terms of mechanics, and it was just before the story went completely insane so that holds up okay too.

Dude the amount of post game side content, not to mention the organization 13 hub where you can fight each one, it's actually great, totally agreed.

Games generally work best when you feel the same way about what's going on as your character does.

I don't think that the message to take away is that you shouldn't care because Sora doesn't care, rather I think that Sora's attitude highlights what makes the story quite good. Sora is a simple and unambiguously good character, and while he's clearly not the smartest character, and some of the same stuff flies over his head that flies over most people's, I don't think it's because he doesn't give a shit, but rather because helping his friends and returning home are the most important goals to him. In this way Sora represents one of the main themes of the series, that "light will always shine through the darkness", in that you can interpret the confusing nature of Dream Eaters, Nobodies, Xehanort's schemes, time travel, etc. as "Darkness" and Sora's simplistic, heartfelt, and straightforward nature as the "Light", and it's this "Light" that connects and deeply touches the hearts of every character he meets, even long before he had the Keyblade, and it's these simple and heartfelt connections that are as important, if not more important, to the plot than any of the convoluted bullshit, and I think that nothing exemplifies this more than Blank Points. Blank Points is easily one of the most (if not THE most) heart wrenching scenes in the series, and it's able to convey so much emotion even if you didn't have context. You don't need to know Xehanorts various identities and plans, or about how Nobodies can gain hearts, or about the heart of all worlds, or about the Keyblade War, or the Master of Masters, or some stupid plot device box, or time travel to grasp that Blank Points is a sad scene. It conveys through so many ways: the music, the writing, the voice acting, etc. that all of these characters have been through suffering, some as a result of their own misguided actions, some because they were unlucky bystanders, and that they're all waiting for the one person that they have so much faith in, the light that connects them all, Sora. That's beautiful, and it is worth taking seriously, and THAT is what's at the heart of the story, no matter how much people get lost in the minutiae and backstory that gets thrown at the series, and while I do understand that the series can seem daunting, and don't blame anyone who doesn't feel like making the investment, I do take issue with the story being written off so easily when people only take a cursory glance at it, and then say it's bad.

But remember, a lot of KH happens without Sora's knowledge or presence. He doesn't understand the minutiae of how his own world works, sure, but he also doesn't actually understand what Xion, Roxas and Aqua went through. And I don't want to be like that, because their stories were intended to make the player empathize with them, and care about what they went through. Even if the fine details didn't make a lot of sense. If Nomura didn't want you to care, he wouldn't have made one of the collectables be a literal series of scientific journals about the rules of his universe. But that in no way means I'm bashing people who are turned off by the complicated lore and other such things. I'm just talking about what the intended reaction of the _fans_ is supposed to be.

Except the flanderazation of sora highlights exactly why this story Is terrible.

As an aside, when he talked about Ryu knowing Kazuya I was about to type in "Well, I'm sure Ryu must have at least seen Kazuya in the news", before I realized immediately that there's no way Ryu owns a television.

Sora dies and comes back from the dead in the very first game. Kingdom Hearts has all kinds of openings for that kind of thing.

I'm still poor as shit. If they'd been released on one or two systems over the years, chances are those are the systems I would've had, and I'd have bought them gradually as they came out. Now they're all in one place but I don't have the money to buy it all on PS4.

I assume he's only played kh1 and 2. he's expressed disdain for the handheld 'spin off' games before (they're not spin offs) and he also has a somewhat flimsy understanding of the plot and characters. I also assume pat's knowledge of the other games comes from wiki diving, as he's known to do. if any of them can do it, it's pat on his own stream. he has said before that he enjoys the games he's played. I could see him playing them again but I don't know if he'd stream the games that are just movies. by this point, liam has 100% completed the 1.5 + 2.5 collection.

Based on Matt saying in this podcast that "I don't need to play these games" and his actions in the playthrough so far are blatantly showing little he cares about playing these games and how he did not want to do this playthrough of the games. Pat is the more obvious person who should be at the reigns with woolie at the side or vice versa because woolie seems like hes interested and willing to learn.

But it's modeled after the Disney movie. Why couldn't they just say that the program was updated, and Tron exists now in a different form? Would make more sense.

Jim Hawking BBS is pretty universally seen as the one that truly started the bed shitting. Kh2 had a strange story, but not unfollowable and the gameplay was refined to a T but BBS shat on both and turned the series into convoluted bs with gameplay that was a shell of even KH1

Tomos Jones It's really not that bad. These games are Action jrpgs, but they don't take long of your gunning or going at your own pace. Like Liam the rising superstar, it only took him 20 to 25 hours to beat the the first game. It depends what your capable of doing in a short or long session of play. Regardless I highly recommend RisingSuperStream cause his kh streams are fantastic when the chat doesn't spoil shit.😂

There are a few in the comment section literally saying that they shouldn't get into the series now, because the series has entered double digits. How elitist can some people be. It's a game about anthropomorphic animals helping a child fight a pedophile, while they hug him and tell him he is the best.
