Incredible feature for the Avila Bros. There are still so many players around that don't understand the sonic depth of Moog (nor how to properly pronounce the name lol). Personally I own and use the Matriarch, Sub 25, Sirin, DFam live and also have my buddies 37 currently in the studio. Looking forward to bringing on the Grand Mother, Mother 32 and potentially the Moog Minimoog Voyager RME. It's a tonal voicing that is unlike anything out there on the market. To be surrounded by these instruments is no different than a classical violinist holding a Stradivarius. It's the sound, it's the feel, it's the esteem and acceptance into a fraternity it brings. You can get 10 high level Moog users together with the same synth and they will lean into completely different sound choices.

The new Moog Mirror should be competitive in price so it does well and people will be willing to buy and try it. A lot of us are a bit sceptical about the new inMusic Moog releases that will not be ’real’ Moogs anymore, so it’d be a bit difficult to sell any new stuff unless properly priced and sounding of course.

I just found out last weekend Moog shut down their iconic location in Asheville. It's very sad. However, they are moving closer to downtown Asheville near center city, and their production facility is still just about 9 miles away in Weaverville, North Carolina.

“Recognizable” is perhaps more fitting than “iconic”. It’s just a building, and the company didn’t move there until 6 years after Bob passed away. There were two other facilities in Asheville prior to this, so in some ways it’s really just a stop on the journey… on to the next!
