Do you have "Autosol" polishing paste in the UK? German product, looks like toothpaste, comes in a tube, in a box. The box has a writing in a green frame, saying " Polishing helps remove viruses ". The plot? Viruses + antivirus polishing paste + US Presidential Logics = Fixing the Covid-19 AND have extremely shining teeth. THAT´S an entertaining review. Hambini, go for it. You´ll create a worldwide interest. Receive an unexpected telephone call from an ex-president. Create a rut that makes Mr. Vroomen fade away.. Just thank me later. Rgr

with the remote you can switch to top lights only or bottom lights only and each has power settings, single click of the square button moves to max power another single click back to where you were. Even on max they will last at least 2 hours, I used mine on may for about an hour and it only just dropped past the first LED on the battery

Been using MS for over a decade. The original came out and appeared like a knock off of a lupine or something, but at $100 it was a phenomenal light. They had a problem with the battery though but the original US dealer gave them excellent cred by honoring replacements. MS now seems a fully mature company with great and innovative products. Hambini, This MS is a MTB light though for the woods and trails. You don't want to use it on the road as it will blind drivers and walkers all other users. (Though it's great if the road is empty!) . MTB lights shine often a rounder beam that spills everywhere to lights up hilly terrain and even low hanging branches. But it's not much of a directional beam, so it shines way too high for other road users. You could try to fit an eyebrow cut out of an aluminum can and that will help. But ideally you want to have a road specific light. I happen to use the Moon Meteor Storm but even then I have to be careful. I know Exposure and other companies make road specific lights where the beam has a cut off lower. Car lights are regulated by law and actually in Germany bike lights are too! So there you'd actually breaking to law to use the MS on the road!
@whazzat8015

Absolutely a MTB light. Not a bad thing for commuters as part of a combination, but will get you NO LOVE from others on the road. Rude as all get out to be exact. The Germans are pretty damn civilized on this issue. 350 Lumens well aimed will keep you road safe at bike speeds if your eyes are a part of the team.

@@TwoDogsFighting I have the Canopus too - 4000lm version?! I have tested the Canopus against the Monteer 8000, and the Canopus runs rings around it. Having both warm and cool white make for a much better temperature when using them at the same time. The warm white is awesome in foggy conditions. The variable lumen system is where it completely owns the Magicshine, because you can set 3 modes from dim to full on brightness, or anything in between. It means the Canopus is safe to use on the road, but with a click or two, you can ramp up to turbo when needed, and then dip back down.

Magic shine have also lighter lamps with 2 up 4500 lumens lamps for helmet lights. Combine with this excellent battery made a great combi. On handle bar the cables are a bit long. For helmet usages the cable is on the to short length when want to have the battery in jersey back pocker.

Mount it upside down under the TT bar and tape a cardboard shade on top to keep the light from scattering upward and it should be fine. I have the NiteRider 1800 and it is already over the top bright, so this must be completely crazy.

I would love if lights -- especially ones this bright -- could magically point down just a bit when traffic approaches. It's dangerous to be blinding oncoming cars, bikes, and pedestrians. I know it would require magic, or at least proper beam-forming according to DIN standards, but a guy can dream...

@@ericpmoss So what happens when said cyclist sees a police car or ambulance? Or an AA van etc? Legal lights in the UK have a range from 60 to 240 flashes a minute / 1-4 flashes a second which is set at a level to not cause problems - the Epilepsy Foundation themselves say say 5-30 flashes a second is the range most likely to cause seizures with 10-20 flashes the most problematic, emergency services are usually around 5

@@whazzat8015 I have a $10 26650 light, which puts out about 1000 Lumens, and I can easily tilt the mount downwards on the fly. Lasts for a couple of hours, rarely use it on the bright setting, and never set it to flash. Good spare 26650 cells can be had for $6 or so.

@@charlestoast4051 Good approach for many. this is a pretty sophisticated system, Hambone didn't show well. it can switch to a 400L spot with the remote and is MS top product. There are $10-$50-$600 lights out there, all have their use. Flashing is annoying but adds HUGE visibility in traffic settings.

I've just had my Ferrari Colnago MTB converted to electric and now there's more real estate in central London than I have left on my bike so I'd have to carry the battery in my hand I reckon to be able to use this light. I bought a set for £15 (though for some reason when i got to check out they gave 30% off so really a tenner) and I honestly can't fault them. They're bright enough to light a number plate from 100 metres way, can charge my phone from it, and they hold a charge for a good 8 hours. I know Amazon has it's faults but it's hard to shop local when they wanted £79 for an inferior set from the cycle shop in town.

At 8000 lumens, that's roughly 120 watts, which may be beastly where you are, but would be just fine here in the US where we love big guns and bright lights.
