Looking at those roots, I'm not sold that the plants came from this. As a hydroponics cultivator, the roots do not appear to be from a real system, especially given the coloring of the pond. Those roots should be bright white with a possible tone of yellow, depending on what is being added to the pond. This roots appear to be from a soil pot and were added to the system for the video. The roots would also be much larger and healthier in an hydro/aqua system. Love the look and idea but not convinced that those are real results

Yeh they aint aquaponic roots, or at least do not look like. They would be much much larger and really clean
