Can do this with a drill and a wooden jig to hold the cd. Instead of buffing wheel you spin the disc with drill and lightly use a piece of 3000 grit, then you use polish on a microfiber to polish it and it’s good 👍 Need drill and custom jig tho, so this might be easier bench grinders can be cheap

I’ve cleaned scratched discs this method before myself. :) can get great results. But have to be careful though. I’ve damaged some of you go to fast or put too much pressure the heat can damage and melt the plastic. Also if the Buffing wheel hits the edge of the disc it’ll just yank it out of your hand in pieces. Lol both have happened to me

get a drill and a wood drill bit jam the drill bit into the end of cork ,put toothpaste or car polish on the disc and give it a spin slowly work your way around the disc center first , usually tàkes a couple minutes wash and dry the disc carefully , only do this to disc that absolutely don't work , they might work again

Why not put the disc back in its case straight after you have played it.Also if you handle them by the edge's.Iam certain they would not get this badly scratched.

Problem is: if you polish too much time, temperature can raise a lot due to friction, which can damage the data layer, so do it sparingly to avoid melting the cavities.

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate here but just cuz you hovered over the title screen does not mean that it's a working game for example back in the day and including now there are multiple games where you could play a hefty Hefty chunk of a story mode and then it would always freeze at a certain part for me it would always freeze at the train mission on San Andreas so next time play the game a little bit

That's cap, I have the same exact Mario game it's very scratched but when I put it it shows the start, but when you press start it stops and says go to the wii manual for help so just cus it shows the start scene doesn't mean it will work and you didn't show the game from beyond the end so it's cap

For those hating in the comment section, Of course this isn’t a cheap fix for the nerds that only play video games and have no mechanical skills or use for tools 😂 A bench grinder is a great tool purchase to have around , it wouldn’t only apply to polishing video games 💀🤦🏻‍♂️.. but if you nerds need it cheap , just buy a polishing bit that you can use with a 20$ drill … although I’m not sure if you guys would have enough strength to hold the disk with one hand and the drill in the other hand without breaking or scratching it even worse 😂
