Following along. I had meant to mention that I would populate the deck, the bridge, and other visible locations with figurines I have reworked to have on appropriate Royal Navy apparel and equipment (assuming that none exists). At 14:00, you mention lead in the solder, advising that handwashing would be sufficient (in lieu of wearing gloves). The medical community deems no safe level at all for lead, so gloves would be essential as a proactive preventative, as washing hands would be after the fact.

Regarding the lead, the solder is inside a plastic bag and I cut it with tweezers and a hobby knife then apply with tweezers so contact with my skin is extremely minimal or non-existent so I think hand washing is fine in my case, however I appreciate your concerns

Fantastic video. I've recently picked up a second-hand matchbox version of this kit that is only part built and that needs some stripping. I'm probably going to use some photo etch, but I will see how I progress. I look forward to seeing your progress. It seems to be one of those kits that gets started but not actually finished 🤔. Thank you for starting this video . All the best and good luck .

I've done all I can to find the Platinum version of this kit but I'll have to stick to the standard. Sadly there seems to be no aftermarket for it.
