A couple of super giant bubbles I made at Nye beach in Newport Oregon. The song is fog, on the album Desert Ocean by Lanterna :) See my formula at: soapbubble.wikia.com/wiki/Jumb...

Hi Dustin Thank you for sending me the link to your formula. In the recipe you mention "Cellulose thickener" what is this? I went and bought Guar gum - is this a cellulose thickener? Thanks Rich
@supergiantbubbles9 жыл бұрын
Richard Clausen The cellulose thickener I use is this: www.burmanfoam.com/special-effects-supplies/methylcellulose.html Guar gum is different but definitely suitable for bubbles. There is a formula on the soap bubble wiki that uses Guar gum and I recommend it: soapbubble.wikia.com/wiki/Recipes_Guar_EAS It uses easy to find ingredients and works very well.

Very interested on the bubble juice and the string! I use personal lubricant and glycerine, do you use the same method? For the string I use yarn how those this work for you on this type of bubbles you make?
@supergiantbubbles9 жыл бұрын
I make my own lubricant for my bubbles. I make and sell giant bubble concentrate. My yarn is from mop heads.

good night. Congratulations on the channel. Could you pass the ingredients you use in the liquid and its measurements? What kind of rope do you use? Strong hug.
@supergiantbubbles5 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you. My current formula is a trade secret, but my old formula has been published here: soapbubble.wikia.com/wiki/Jumbo_Juice Please note that I no longer use or recommend xanthan gum. The yarn I use if from deconstructed Rubbermaid rayon finish mop heads, specifically this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GP4GSTM/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What type of rope or string do you use? I can’t get my bubbles to last long enough on the rope to get my pokes up in the air, though I’m using a mixture with glycerin and baking soda - as per another ‘super bubble’ creator’s recipe
@supergiantbubbles2 ай бұрын
My favorite material by far isn't made any longer as far as I can tell. It's a deconstructed Rubbermaid FGX883PR04 mop head. You could try another type of looped end rayon finishing mop head yarn. Many of not most of them work much better if you soak them in a hot bath of a sodium carbonate solution for about an hour. I use a cup of sodium carbonate (washing soda) in a gallon of water. Be careful, sodium carbonate is similar to lye in that its caustic and can harm your skin or eyes. Do a Google search for the "soap bubble wiki" for a fantastic resource for all things giant bubble related. Yarn materials are covered in great depth.
