That's all well and good. However what if you were out somewhere where there wasn't a shop anywhere for miles and the only thing you happened to have was a pack of cigarettes and some super glue on hand? I look at this video more towards providing ideas towards survival scenarios. Learn these handy hacks, they could come in handy to you one day.

Wood ash would work as well. Theoretically any particulate would. Sugar, sawdust, flour, even dirt.

You can do this with many materials... Saw dust, plastic dust/shavings, metal dust/shavings, rock powder, charcoal ash etc ... Depending on what material you're repairing you might want to choose a specific filler material..
