The thing I like most about Sarah's videos is that they reflect the reality of most of my brew days. "Oh..forgot the timer" or "Crap, I just knocked my sanitized equipment to the floor" or "Crap, missed by OG by 10 points" 🙂

as soon as you said "grapefruit as big as my head," i decided i want to make a pomelo wheat beer. for those not familiar, the grapefruit is a hybrid of a pomelo and a sweet orange.

Sounds awesome! I think my brother and I might give this a shot. Sounds like a perfect late spring/summer beer.

After doing aroud 10-12 brew kits, im ready to level up to this kind of brewing( not this large of a batch lol). I love the idea with being able to play around with different hops and flavors.

You legend! I have been looking at a competition that gives the brief "light easy drinking summer beer," I think something along this line is what is going to be my entry. 🤘

Nice! I need to try this one. I do a Tangerine IPA that is really good, but a wheat would be delicious!

Does mashing at 71c/160f not affect the amount of fermentable sugars? If you were to mash at a lower temp or step mash would this lead to more fermentable sugars and a dryer beer?

I feel like 1 oz per 5 gallons of coriander is always too much for me. I've been leaning 1/2 oz.

Yes, me too. Corriander seeds, however, are a totally different thing to the leaves. Just one leaf, and the dish is unedible for me - several grams of corriander seeds in a palatian sausage (very regional german food..) is delicious. So don't worry, AFAICT the whole "tastes like soap" thing only applies to fresh corriander leaves (never tried dried corriander leaves though).
