What Nagi did was actually do his one touch to trap volley the ball right in front of him but he did it with a shooting motion to fake out rin. So he had the ball float in front of him to set up his own shot.

nagi basically swung his leg in a shot motion but timed it so that instead of hitting the ball dead on he hit the bottom of the ball as his foot passed under it stopping the balls decent and giving it a powerful spin that allowed the ball to hover in place for a moment which gave him enough time to pull back his leg and shoot for real, and thus the two stage fake volley, the first stage being the fake shot causing the ball to hover and the second stage being his legs reload into shot postion and the actual shot

Rin’s ost is hilarious but scary at the same time because it’s so peaceful.

The first time Nagi kicked it, he basically hit it with so much spin that the ball basically sat there in mid air. Since Nagi has perfect ball control, it looked like a shot, but he just kicked it so perfectly that it spun in the air, so Rin completely overshot him cause the ball didn't move at all

Rin thought his kick was gonna go forward so he slid to block. Nagi then kicked again the second time as the ball started falling as his shot. The best way to understand it is seeing players do "Around the World" skill. Where you splice the bottom of the ball and it spins in mid air and stays up instead of falling

I can understand Lupa's confusion in Nagi's shot part, it really felt like they skipped a scene. But after rewatching the scene, you can see that he uses his left ankle to trap the ball while he's faking the shot with his right leg. TBH it could've been better animated, but still cool nonetheless.
