The ending goes from dusk to night to dawn to noon. It therefore spans about 14 hours. After the postgame comes a cliffhanger.

He was supposed to shake the 3DS for the fill letter cutscenes. Such a cool concept by the way. Especially when all the enemies are all chasing her. I remember thinking that was so cool as a kid.

I like how it eventually turned into a gag of Mario trying to grab the envelope.

This might be one of my favorite Mario games of all time.
