I love how this is a deconstruction of the Mario games: Mario, after rescuing Peach and killing Bowser....again, he married and had a child with Peach....and he got bored because they barely knew each other and because Mario loved the chase rather than the prize. In short, Mario depicted here is what a video game character would be in real life after he achieves his goals.

Bro this is the saddest thing ive seen. Mario had a great life and opportunity but he ruined it with degeneracy like adultery,drinking,laziness and so on... He constantly reminds peach of how he saved her and that she should be grateful,but he fails to look at how hes behaving in the present. Mario realizes that luigi is doing better than him,peacu left him and his life turned into a misery. He wanted to end it all so he did. In the mario games maril usually has multiple lives so he thought that the butterfly effect could prevent his mistakes. We were shown a few scenes of marios life beginning from scratch and him living a noble life. Though this was all just his last thoughts and in reality he threw his life away and he will never have another chance
