I'm excited! I don't even mind Chris Pratt as Mario anymore. He is making the role his own which is great. The little nods to the character like let's a go is done well. Toad with the frying pan and peach ready to kick butt is amazing. I'm actually super excited

i was born in 1985 when the original came out, so like yall and many other fans the mario franchise has been apart of my entire life. i first played it at my grandmas house during christmas. my mom told me the other day when she heard the super mario world theme it reminded her of when her dad was in the hospital... ill leave it at that. i just caught wind of this movie and watched this trailer an hour and a half ago and havent stopped crying since... its perfect. and princess peach being a badass and mario rescuing his brother... YES!

As others have mentioned, they did show group of Yoshis on their island for a split second during Peach’s dialogue about the galaxies. However, we did not see the main green Yoshi, but I imagine we’ll see him in this movie considering there are YOSHIS!

I think you're absolutely right, this is the start of a damn ERA and I literally couldn't be more excited! Honestly though, as good as animation, lighting, casting etcetera are, these movies will be straight up amazing in general and not just for diehard fans. I CANNOT WAIT!

One thing I've been really glad about is me being really bad at knowing who works on anything regarding entertainment and art these days. I dodge a lot of preconceptions other people seem to be getting hung up on. I don't know any of the voice actors they listed other than Black and Pratt, and I only know who Pratt is because people couldn't stop talking about him.

I'm so hyped for this! I'm totally ok with Chris Pratts Mario. As someone who grew up in the 90s watching the Mario Bros show, and Super Mario World cartoon that both had people that sounded nothing like what we grown to love with Charlie Martinets Mario I like that he's making it his own.

People seem to forget that half a dozen guys did Mario's voice before Charlie M. did. He just did his own interpretation. Every new actor should be allowed to do their own interpretation.

Enjoyed your reaction, I'm sooooo excited for this movie, it literally is everything and more, can't wait till April! 🙌😃 Side note, some people that hate on Chris Pratt's voice literally forgets about the older show back in the day before the video game voice, where he had bass in it, and is from Boston, so, come on haters, it's a movie, 2 hours of high pitched voice would get VERY irritating, very quickly, lol. 😆

I love all the little nods, not just to the main games but other Mario media as well. Mario and Luigi being from Brooklyn is straight out of the old cartoons. Peach being a badass is straight out of the old NP Mario comic series. Let's hope this makes a ton of money. In the final scene Samuel Jackson is going to show up with an envelope. He'll introduce himself as Agent Kevin Keene and invite Mario to join the Super Smash Brothers initiative.

In the post-end credit scene, you will see a cameo of Link, which will trigger the NCU (Nintendo Cinematic Universe). Nintendo will practically save Illumination.

I'd love to see a "MCU" type franchise here BUT more like the Pixar Theory style where all the movies ARE connected but not crowding each other's movies. Like tell the story of the movie up front but in the background show and tell Easter eggs telling a larger storyline that won't intrude on the main movies.

I was able to let go of the "weirdness" of Chris Pratt's voice, because I grew up with the NES and SNES, and the first voice of Mario I ever heard was Captain Lou Albano on the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, lol. So when I considered that, I was able to adjust to Pratt pretty quick. Besides, if everyone's gonna shit on Pratt, there should also be complaints about Peach's voice, which is even less like her video game counterpart, lol. I'm absolutely going to check this movie out after seeing all the stuff they packed into just the trailer.

Why are people consistently shocked that a ruler of a kingdom may just have combat experience? That Peach is wielding a weapon? Super Mario RPG she was a party member. Hell, way back in SMB 2 she was playable, being just as capable as Mario. The only reason she ever remains captive is she physically can't do anything, Bowser is just too powerful. If she could she definitely would.
