Hey everyone! I'm excited to share with you my new tab video for the Super Mario Brothers theme level one, sponsored by AeroBand and featuring the AeroGuitar. I had so much fun using this instrument for this video! Although the guitar is targeted towards beginner players, I utilized its MIDI functions to trigger 8-bit MIDI sounds in my DAW to create the perfect Mario Brothers experience. A big thank you to AeroBand and their team for sending it out to me. I can't wait to use this guitar for future projects as it greatly enhances my workflow for creating backing tracks. In this video, I've shortened the theme music to highlight its four different sections, as there are many repeating parts. I've also arranged it for two guitars and a bass, making it a great piece for student recitals. For those wanting a challenge, I’ve even added a Melody + Harmony section for fingerpickers out there. While playing along, you'll hear the other instruments, but if you pan the audio hard left, you can isolate the tab audio from the rest. It's a neat feature that you can also try on your smartphones by adjusting the audio settings. To top it off, I've included the flagpole theme at the end of the song as a cherry on top. It's a little surprise for all the Mario fans out there! I hope you're all enjoying your Christmas. By the way, are there any other Nintendo songs you'd like to see in future videos? @Mr. Tabs, if your interested commenting on the AreoBand guitar itself, their website is pretty crap on any useful info... How do the frets work, are they capacitive or are they just pressure sensors, do they support bending, pull offs, tapping or the use of a guitar slide? I assume their app handles tuning changes, but how is their picking side of the guitar, is it responsive enough for tremolo picking? I assume palm mutes and pinch harmonics are not possible correct?

The frets are like some kind of rubber or silicone material. The other part where you strum or pick is strings. This guitar doesn’t support string bends. You can do pull offs on the fretboard. And slides. Can’t use an actual slide. No tapping. Because it senses from the plucked string. I haven’t tried tremolo picking. Not sure if the technology is there yet to pick up every single string hit at such at fast speed for tremolo picking. No pinch harmonics that I’m aware of. Palm mutes are made possible on the guitar by laying your palm on the bridge as you strum. Sounds cool for the power chords. Pretty cool innovative idea and I’m looking forward to advancements with this kind of thing. Rather than point and click all the notes on the MIDI character map, this made my job a lot easier.

I was always more a Mega Man guy myself. That guitar is cool as hell for doing drums, bass and keys. If you do end up using it as your go to for that kind of instrumentation, I would love to see that mixed in the performance video. Looks like a very cool piece of gear for what you do.

I assume bends etc aren't possible? I saw an ad where they were using this as a guitar and I feel it was selling it short. This seems like the best use case for this sort of instrument.
