However in what ways did our hero try to stop bowser, bowser jr, boordals, koopalings and others together with peach, luigi, toad, waluigi, wario, pauline and more. Now did this boss evolve? Petey’s actually had quite a bit of playable appearances, even though they’re all spinoff titles: -Mario Kart: Double Dash -Mario Power Tennis -Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour -Mario Strikers Charged -Mario Super Sluggers -Mario Tennis Aces Just felt like that was worth mentioning.

So far, the chances Petey Piranha appears as a playable character are very weak. The last game he appears in as a playable character so far is Mario Tennis Aces. I think he's so rare to appear as a playable character because he is very big and players may not see anything. As a result, if his height doesn't decrease, his appearances as a playable character may be compromised.

@SuperMario Fan In English, Italian and Spanish versions, Petey is male, while in French versions, he is female. In German and Japanese versions, there seem to be inconsistencies to his gender.

The games that Petey is playable/makes an appearance in make me happy because it proves that Nintendo remembers Sunshine and the glorious game it is. Plus, having the “why not” or “wtf” characters in a roster like Petey is always fun and I enjoy seeing people’s reactions who don’t know who or what he is seeing him in a playable position

While not really part of the main canon, in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Petey is living beneath the Gritsy Desert of the past, around the time when Mario and Luigi were babies. I don’t think it was Bowser Junior that mutated him. One theory could be that he was mutated by the Shroobs (the alien main antagonists of the game) but I don’t think that’s likely, considering any mutants they made were in one way or another “shrooboid”, as in having Shroobish qualities. I think he’s just been around for a while. Perhaps as a natural mutation or something

He was a Basketball hoop in Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and playable in several Games, he even has an unused and scrapped icon in Mario Kart Wii. I'm with you though, I wanna see bosses like Gooper Blooper, Petey, Mummy Pokey, Eely, Goomboss, Tutankoopa, Rawk Hawk and Lakithunder return as main line Mario Bosses. I don't know how Eely Mouth would work without F.L.U.D D., but, something would work same way with maybe, Gooper Blooper. I think a lot of bosses are being neglected. We haven't seen Tutan as a Core Mario boss yet, only in Paper Mario 1. All the unique bosses in NSMB1 haven't returned except for Bowser Jr. and Dry Bowser, though, Mega Goomba can stay in NSMB1.

Personally I think petey is a mutant piranha bean (piranha beans are seen in M&L SS they have the heads of a normal piranha plant but the lower build of petey even wearing the same polka dot underpants) but you could be right on the bower jr transforming him thing.

What I think could have been done is use his tornado attack and if you time it right enough(or by using a power up) you could use them to reach him in the sky and damage him that way. Or maby letting him spitt spikeys and you having a Yoshi can use them to spit into the tornados to hurt him
