best metroid game ever? best GAME ever. It's flawless. Even with these glitches, they only add to the already flawless masterpiece. This and the Metroid Prime trilogy are imo perfection. Anybody who disagrees either hasn't played them or hasn't played them enough to understand. You have to savor these games like a work of art. You can't get it all in just one play through. You have to keep looking at it and find new things everytime that you didn't notice before. This is art. Not just for shits and giggles and to pass the time. It's far beyond such simple ideas.

Fusion is pretty sweet though, and more open ended than you may think, a little more linear but there were connections points to all five of the different habitats and just a great story

Holy shit! I have never saw the Electric Grapple Glitch before. D: Best glitch, for me. The water jump is also new to me. Since you were showing some pretty common tricks, I think you could have showed the single weapons charge with the power bomb as well. Many players still don't know them.

I went back to it the other day. The sheer thrill of playing this again is amazing. It's as good, if not better than ever. The best game on SNES (and therefore better than anything on Mega Drive too 😜) without a doubt in my own mind. Link to the Past, Mario World, Mana and Earthbound can scrap for the places behind it.

This remained my favorite game from release up until Witcher 3 or damn near 20 years. This person is the best player I've seen with these techniques. I can do the bomb jump, and sometimes the speedball, that's it lol.

Only discovered the Crystal healy thing and charge beam effects today. Hot damn.

There was also a trick named the Superweapon that look a little like the Boomerang shotted via X-Buster in Megaman X. It is not a necessary weapon, but it was great to discover this in Super Metroid.

Someone commented on another SM vid awhile back that said that this game was made for speed running. I totally agree!

All of these tricks can be done without a Tool-Assist. All of it can be done in the original Super Metroid with no help whatsoever. You're not as smart as you think you are.

IMO Prime was my favorite final boss battle out of the whole series.

In some of these clips I noticed some textures that looked hd and smooth nothing like in the original game. Is that a texture pack or edited rom or something for super Metroid, or just a trim? Would really like to know.

I don't understand yet how you use a so short space to run and shinespark... Is it the version of the game (PAL vs. NTSC)? Which is the version sold here in Brazil?

Judging by the layout of some of the areas, some of these tricks may have been totally intended. Other ones, such as the glitches I was completely unaware of. I am kind of surprised you guys didn't show any of the "super moves" that are available in he game.

the charge beam trick was the only one I found on first play through of the game. I called it the "early screw attack"

I found the standing hack myself and thought I found a way to save the baby metroid back when I played it on the SNES
