City we’re firm favourites going into this one, however no matter how poor Liverpools form is, They usually turn over City at Anfield.
The game was an intense one, high Liverpool pressing matches by City’s possession but no real attacking intent from the blues.
De Bruyne had a cross to Haaland who headed straight at Alisson while Robertson hit one over from a great postion.
Going into the second half, it was evenly matched once again, you would no way think Liverpool were 11th. However on the counter attack, Alissons long throw to Salah who skinned Cancelo wasn’t going to miss this one and sent Anfield and the Kop end into raptures.
You knew that would be the end for City! They just couldn’t create anything of note and Van Dijk, Gomez and Milner were absolutely excellent.
Liverpool hung on for a massive win for them to kick start there season, but for City. The Anfield curse continues…

Clear foul on fabinho for city goal. Not to mention it came from a goal kick that should have been a corner. You're having a go at klopp when money bags pep was having his usual fit cause he didn't get it his way.

if youre speaking like that then surely the push in the back for a liverpool throw in should disallow the liverpool goal. ref let things go the whole game and then called a foul for the same type of challenge as previous just because its a goal ?

@@stewzs9269 there's a big difference to letting fouls go to keep a game flowing, to letting fouls go to gain advantage to score a goal. Dont you think 🙄

@@bigmanscotty you cant change how strict you are just because a goal was scored. the flow of the game is to score goals. also giving/not giving fouls changes the course of the rest of the game so either give everything small or give nothing small

Not the best game, and the first half was pretty much a waste of time from both clubs ..... the secaond half too many stoppages, and fouls, and what Cancelo was playing at, allowing Salah to run free and score, i have no idea .... we lost a game when the opposition were basically no better than we were ..... this game was nowhere near as good as recent games between the two clubs have been.

It was a clear free kick, however he didn’t need to bark like that at the ref. If it was a controversial penalty decision then it’s calm! But it’s only a free kick in a wide position.

Our recent record at Anfield is won 1, drawn1 and lost one today and we have a very good home record. Liverpool fans are scared stiff about playing City...they were even cheering today if they got a throw in which was hilarious.
