I trained BJJ and Muay Thai since I was 7 years old and I am now 29, in my academy we were always told to show respect to your opponents even if you didn't like them or they didn't like you. Watching fighters show-off and be cocky thinking they are going to win the fight but instead forced to take a little nap will never stop being funny. As my professor of BJJ training used to say "if your opponent fails to give you the respect back, don't feel guilty when you beat them for they made their own beds". Helpful advice: if you plan on showing off, you better be confident enough to handle the embarrassment of failure.
