My buddy Al and I went out exploring The Boulders OHV area on our Beta 300's. We rode some single track and a wash we haven't been on in about 20 years. A lot has changed and a lot is similar, there is a good step down that I don't remember being that big. The step down could be a step up as well but it may cost $199 if you get a little off line because there is a massive rock waiting to smash your FMF pipe. I shouldn't say this, I don't want to jinx it but it's May and the mornings are still super cool, perfect for riding dirt bikes on single track. It's also been a little windy and that helps it feel cooler and blows some dust off the trail from the guy in front if the wind is right. My wife and I attempted an ADV ride on Sunday and the wind wasn't that fun, something like 40 mph gusts on the road made for interesting riding. The ADV ride was cut short at around mile 70, the infamous DR650 cylinder base gasket caught up with me and I noticed some oil all over my case so we had to turn back. Luckily when the DR650's blow the base gasket, it's usually just enough oil to make a mess but not deplete the motor of all the oil so I rode the bush pig home and ordered a metal base gasket. #beta300
