Did you know that Pit was also considered for both the original SSB and Melee? In the original, a combination of obscurity and his wings being awkward to model mean Pit got the cut. He was one of the retro characters considered for Melee and while the Ice Climbers got in, the last sentence in Pit's trophy description alludes to him being added to Brawl (or being one of the closest to join or his status as a cameo for most of his existence). It states "Will Pit ever fight again?".

Another SSBM trophy easter egg is: Go to the Ganondorf Classic Mode trophy, where he seems idle and has the game's grey eyes. However, if you activate the Viewing Mode for the trophy and change the background to the shadowy background, the trophy will change. Ganondorf's eyes will feature red pupils and will glow a bright orange, presumably a refernce to the completely orange eyes featured shortly before transforming into Ganon for the final battle of LoZ Ocarina of Time.

Since Ice Climbers were removed from Smash 4, I guess Duck Hunt became the new representation of the 8-bit era

I will be honest, the music in Melee is so good that I find myself actually tearing up over it. It is like Sakurai wanted to go out with a bang in Melee, which is why the other games are not as good in the musical department. So, do not blame him, because he did not even want more sequels. I mean think about it. Melee is literally fantastic in nearly every staple it has. It has lots of really slick gameplay mechanics, the best orchestra of all Gamecube games that I already said has made me legitimately cry over how good the compositions were and the effort in nostalgia was driven flawlessly. Brawl actually replicated itself as a flawless sequel in terms of content with that sick Story Mode and remixes of old game music. However, he just wanted it to be a party game by this point and did not really care; not his fault since he DID want Melee to be the last entry in the series altogether; hence its heavy effort. And then comes SSB4, a game where he decided to go all out once again; but not in content. No, everyone DEMANDED he have more competitive play, and we finally got that. Gone are all the dick moves you can do in Melee and combos are of the essence. Truly, graphically, and gameplay-wise, SSB4 is pretty damn great. In the end, I love Melee because I grew up with it and because of its incredibly expansive Debug Mode that has seen more codes utilize it in wonderful ways. I would have loved it if Melee was finished so that it could have had final smashes, Snake and Sonic. Seeing a finished Melee makes me tremble with excitement because of how good it already is. I am not a fanboy, though, since my favoritism goes to Project M; only because of its own effort which reminds me of Melee. I also believe that SSB4 will have awesome DLC in the future and more tweaks, maybe even a Melee Mode option at some point and much more to make it the pinnacle of the series. I want people to understand that Melee is as good as it is in effort because Sakurai just wanted it all to end there and took all his best ideas and put them there. It is a truly great game, and I am okay with everyone favoring it as the epitome of Super Smash Bros. That is okay because he kind of DID want it to be that way. Not planning sequels means they will suck since all of the ideas are gone. Okay, maybe Brawl wasn't a disaster in terms of its content; that game was just as good in most departments of fast menus and such. Truly, only SSB4 disappoints in lots of areas in terms of menus and repetition of most Brawl sound effects. But, again, he was focusing on areas people WANTED; which were having more competitive gameplay. But, Sakurai did not want it to be like Melee again; instead, he opted for a new style. No more ledge hogging, no more quick combat so that even beginners stand a chance if they move correctly and just having an overall more balanced experience which delivers. I have played every character -(except Olimar because he sucks ass; do not hate)- and I think that they are all evenly balanced and competitively tuned in comparison to Melee. As many people state before, skill is obviously the changing factor in this balance. However, some characters in Melee just DO NOT work no matter how much skill you got. I would say Pichu is the worst because he damages himself every freaking time you attack at all and it requires you to be the master of Melee to actually put up winning streaks with this little guy. All the same, I, too, wanted him in SSB4 because I love playing as him. Speaking of, I wish they chose a new Pokémon other than freaking Greninja -(his moveset is good, but I hate him in general)- because EVERYONE thought the old Pokémon had more fighting potential. But, I digress. Basically, Melee is the best in terms of effort because- yada, yada, I literally said this already so many times. So, just do not say the sequels are awful because they were not really intended to be as effort-driven and blah, blah, blah. That is all I can say. Melee is quick, Brawl has a great story, SSB4 has the best characters and I never mentioned 64. Have a good day.

Did you know that in the first Smash Bros., Giant Donkey Kong was his own character. Although he was the same model and same moveset, he is considered a whole other non-playable character like the ploygons and metal mario.

Super Smash bros 4 uses a unique idle jingle for the results screen. The jingle used is the Character Select music from the original Super Smash Bros game. I think that's a pretty neat throwback to the original game.

Sakurai said one spot 4 Pokémon left for Wii U and 3DS Smash Bros I think it is Mewtwo since all the Pokémon in the upcoming one are the ones from the X and Y series like Greninja and the ones with Megas now like ONLY CHARIZARD since Pokémon Trainer doesn't evolve Squirtle and Ivysaur. Mewtwo has a mega so he could come back I also think Mewtwo will be back because this video proves that he could of been on every smash bros.

That wasn't Daisy....that was a recolored Princess Peach. As in Melee you could choose different color schemes for characters, that was an alternate color scheme for Peach
