Please read this before commenting. I’ve been getting a lot of criticism over my Pokémon spirit segment of my video (5:55-8:55) where people have been pointing out that it’s not really inaccurate. I made the mistake of seeing spirit classes as pure power showcase without considering popularity or other appearances like the anime. I would suggest skipping that portion of the video if you aren’t interested using the time stamps above. Thank you all for commenting!

Damn, you're right. Smash ultimate failed to portray Tom Nook's power when it comes to throwing hands

One BIG inconsistency In Smash comes from Lucina. Whenever she defeats Marth, her victory quote Is "THIS Is the Hero King?", and when she defeats Ike, it Is "And they call YOU the Radiant Hero?", both In a mocking tone. The inconsistency? It's WAY out of character for her, not once In any of her appearances, canonical or not, she mocks her opponents, much less people she admires. Though I heard this was due to a mistranslation.

Shulk's final smash, Chain Attack, has some inaccuracies. The chain attack itself has four members, which is not possible in the original game since you could only have three active party members at any given time, meaning a chain attack involving four attackers isn't possible. There's also a smaller inconsistency. Even though Shulk was the one who started the chain attack, Riki attacks first, whereas Shulk should have been the one to attack first since he initiated the chain attack

In palutena’s guidance, she says Mr game and watches 9 will always kill you, even though it doesn’t kill at zero in the center.

In regards to the Codecs, you forgot possibly the biggest inaccuracy in their codecs. If you activate Olimar's Codec while Olimar is in an alt where he's Alph, they'll simply talk about Olimar rather than Alph, as if Alph isn't even there. What makes this even more befuddling is that Snake's Codec cannot activate for Ike's Radiant Dawn design, meaning they had to add a line of code to prohibit Radiant Dawn Ike from having a Codec, but they neglected to do this for Olimar, who has an entirely different character attached to him.

I guess the Mario Maker stage is Sakurai’s interpretation of what he wants added to Mario Maker since there are so many inaccuracies. Also, I think Yoshi’s Island is marked as the Yoshi franchise because that’s where Yoshi made his debut in Super Mario World.

I actually went over the Codecs near Ultimate's release. Here are the additional inconsistencies I found: Bowser: Said to be slow. While this was the case in Brawl, he's noticeably faster in Ultimate. Diddy Kong: Mentions how Peanut Popgun's ammo sometimes leaves behind an edible fruit, which isn't the case in Ultimate. Olimar: Still referred to as Olimar even if using the Alph costume. Zero Suit Samus: Like with Sheik, it mentions the character changing form mid-match ("Samus took her clothes off!")

Olimar has no voice clips, despite being so vocal in his games that “Hey! Pikmin” is named after what he says in the game, having astounding grammar, and having his VA shared with Yoshi.

There's another inaccuracy in Palutena's Guidance paired with Pit's new Final Smash. The Guidance for Dark Pit has Viridi say that Pittwo works for her now, and she also says the Lightning Chariot is under their control... but if that was the case... why does Pit have it as a Final Smash? Shouldn't Dark Pit have it, While Pit keeps the Three Sacred Treasures? That would make more sense with the Guidance, considering tht this is pretty much canon to the Kid Icarus story.

Those stages aren't really innacurate. That's what you call a designer's choice. Also Yoshi was debuted in that stage so why not? Mario alreafy has a lot of stages

Cloud has quite a few He slashes his sword five times when using cross slash compared to ff7's 3 Climhazard doesn't go down in ff7 The blade beam animation is different Ff7 has more than 2 songs

Fun fact: Bulbasaur was the only Starter to have two types throughout its entire evolutionary line (that is, never started as a single type, only to gain another in its second or third forms), until Sun/Moon, which introduced Rowlet. This also means the only two Starters to have a dual typing in their base forms are both Grass-types. Rowlet is also the only Starter to lose a typing and gain another, in this case dropping Flying for Ghost when it becomes Decidueye.

Lucina being the same height as chrom(chrom's spouse to be taller than lucina) Pichu taking damage from skull bash and agility(non electric moves) Silver in green hill zone.(knuckles and tails make a little bit more sense because they're genesis characters) Snake's final smash us used by venom snake,not solid snake. Adult Rock Howard and classic Terry being on the same stage The king of fighters stadium being labeled as a fatal fury stage instead of a KOF stage

There is another one, a small inacuraccy with Peach's and Daisy's final smashes, in the picture in the move list in their final smashes images they don't have yellow eyes, but in actual gameplay they do have yellow eyes

The spirit power isn’t used to represent the power of the character, rather, it represents the power of the effect they give. Using the Mushroom/Fire Flower example, the Super Mushroom is registered as 2 star because that’s the power level if it’s effect to boost your stats while eating food, and the Fire Flower is 1 star because it gives the Fire Flower item, which is initially more powerful, but has very limited use, while the food buff stays for the whole battle (the boost itself fades, but can be regained any time by eating again)

They only used the brawl voice clips for snake because the voice actor for him died

This was wonderfully-done, and possibly one of my new favorite kinds of videos, besides reviews! I'm surprised you didn't make any references to the names and origins of the songs in the soundtrack, though I suppose that would probably make up an entire video on its own. Maybe a sequel video? It's too early in the morning for me to list too many inaccuracies off the top of my head, but one that just popped into my mind is from some of the Banjo-Kazooie content. -Some of the cameo characters in Spiral Mountain don't actually appear in the real Spiral Mountain in the original Banjo-Kazooie. Mumbo Jumbo doesn't have his hut there in either game, but does make an appearance in Banjo-Tooie's opening. The Jinjos don't appear in Spiral Mountain at all in Banjo-Kazooie, and there's only one in Tooie, not the whole army that appears. Also, the Buzzbombs don't appear until Bubblegloop Swamp. Certainly not bashing the DLC, by any means (they were my number one pick for fighters), but wanted to continue the list as best I could while I was exhausted.

One inaccuracy I've noticed is that Rooftop Run is said to come from Sonic Generations instead of Unleashed. I know the remix is from Generations but other songs that use remixes from other games will state where the original theme came from as shown with the many Castlevania songs.

In shulks final smash there are four characters despite only 3 being actually usable in a chain attack at the same time, also Fiora shouldn’t be there as she isn’t in the party at any point when shulk has the monado’s first form

I’m pretty sure the environment for the great plateau is a texture/skybox, rather than a model, while having all of NDC modeled would add more overhead

Some of these are pretty interesting details that would normally escape the eye, but I couldn't stop the feeling that I was listening to a guy just bitching about how his favorite pokemon was not correctly rated or how the Mario Maker wouldn't allow to do angles in platforms.

A small inaccuracy I know of is how in Garreg Mach, Dimitri and Claude have their retainers while Hubert (Edelgards retainer) is nowhere to be seen.

I think that Ho-Oh being in a higher Spirit Class than Lugia might be a nod to how gold is seen as more valuable than silver.

Another inaccurate character model is Bowser. Seriously, look at his render, and then look at his in-game model. The colors are WAY off, the scale texture is different, the hair is different, etc.

The classes are based on how powerful their spirit effects are in Smash. They have nothing to do with canon power levels. Zygarde, for instance, doesn’t have any in-battle abilities since it can be enhanced.

You mentioned so many really trivial inaccuracies but ignored that MOST things in Smash are innaccurate to their respective series in Smash...like Olimar is canonically smaller than a quarter and Kirby should be about as big as a softball but both stand at like 3 - 4 feet tall in Smash and even within individual series everything is wrong. Young Link stands at the same height as regular Link and the Kokiri Sword is way longer than it should be, and the whole Mario cast has innacurate body proportions with Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina getting the worst of it by the game going out of its way to make them look more human and proportionate. Heck some characters have been changed so extensively with small little tweaks that they don't even look right like Bowser and Donkey Kong... Frankly as a series all about representing other series, Smash doesn't really do the best job.

Okay I’m not sure if this counts but the jump/lightweight spirits should improve jump height, but when Donkey Kong carries an opponent while having jump/lightweight spirits, when he jumps, there won’t be any height boost. This is weird because the lightweight spirits also increase moving speed and Donkey Kong does move faster still when holding an opponent. It’s just the jump height that has no effect.

I think another inaccuracy with Super Mario Maker stage is with the purple test blocks you stand on when starting the match. They behave differently than how they actually work in the original games. Ah, and also, a few inaccuracies I found out myself: •Inklings can only recover ink when in squid form AND inside their own ink (Meanwhile, in Smash, you can recover ink anywhere you want) •Inklings "die" on contact with water (in Smash they just take damage due to balancing purposes, most likely)

One little inaccuracy you missed is that, and you’ll only see this if you look really carefully, the Shy Guy’s karts don’t switch out of anti gravity mode when on parts of Mario Circuit that don’t have it, like at the starting line. The anti gravity only kicks in at the bridge.

One inaccuracy that I found wierd is that for Richter’s fighter spirit shows the Dracula X Chronicles artwork instead of the Rondo of Blood artwork, which is what he is based of.

Can you make another video going over inconsistancies of moves and aspects of characters? Stuff like Ness and Lucas having moves that belong to party members. Or how Link's bomb shouldn't blow up when contacted by regular fire. Those kinds of facts are what I expected from the video, but I still enjoyed it.

It always annoyed me that the SMB2 stage is named Mushroom Kingdom II and not Subcon And that it has 16-bit graphics but with 8-bit music

(11:55) I don't think that counts as labelling it as two games. I think internally that's just one game; so it'll list Pokémon X/Y as one game with one icon.

Very great video! Though, I feel a lot of these "inaccuracies" are creative liberties, much like the characters' moves. A lot of them are mostly for aesthetics, simplicity, or for gameplay. I may be over analyzing and over criticizing, but here I go anyway: The Pokemon stages are labeled with two games because they are paired games that wouldn't be right with just one. Also the Super Mario Galaxy logos are pretty big, at least vertically to really fit in the box. Though not an inaccuracy, a line in Link's codec involving his clawshot was removed, since he doesn't have it anymore. It could've at least pointed out how they could remove parts of the codec. You mentioned how female Pokemon Trainer has the male's codec, but not Alph having a similar treatment? Yet, Radiant Dawn Ike gets the codecs disabled on him. Also, how can you forget the whole Masked Man spirit situation?! That's a pretty big deal despite being a small mistake. XD I think I just got carried away going through all of this. :P

I found another inaccuracy In Palutena’s Guidance for Sheik, Palutena refers to her moves as “his”

While playing the living room stage, if you pause and look right, you'll see a beautiful fire that doesn't actually move.

I just noticed this now, but the Great Plateau Tower stage actually is missing the Magnesis Shrine, and it was still there in the original game even if you didn't activate the Great Plateau Tower, not to mention we also don't see the pond next to it, so even if it was out of view, we would still see the pond next to it.

The spirit thing with the stars, especially the secondary spirts, are based on their affect, in which the extra jump is much better than some of the others, like, random example, meloetta

I don't think that Sakurai's team got that many instructions when making that Mario Maker stage since it was apparently being worked on before the game was even announced. (If I remember correctly, the Mario Maker remix that plays on this stage, and that Duck Hunt Medley was in the files long before DLC was announced in Smash 4.)

One that's always bugged me since Brawl is how there's a tree on the Spear Pillar stage. In the games it's from, the Spear Pillar is a desolate place devoid of life.

Here's an inaccuracy! Shulk's final smash is based on Chain Attacks from Xenoblade 1. In the game, you need a full party of 3 to preform a chain attack, since that's the limit. In Smash 4, it featured Riki and Dunban, making a full party. Though, because they added Fiora to his final smash in Ultimate, there are four people in the party when the Chain Attack is preformed.

Fun fact, Arcfire in the Fire Emblem games looks absolutely nothing like it does in Robin’s side-special. In Fire Emblem Fates, after the release of Smash 4, using the Robin Amiibo gave you the chance to get a special tome named Robin’s Primer, which has an extremely similar appearance to Robin’s side-special. I don’t know about you, but I love when Smash Bros inspires a change in a main series rather than the other way around, like with Kirby’s “Smash” ability or the entirety of Kid Icarus Uprising.
