fun general F-Zero facts: there's actually a few games in the series that only ever got released in Japan. First there's BS F-Zero for the Satellaview service....then there was F-Zero X Expansion Kit, a 64DD add-on for F-Zero X that added custom tracks...and finally, there's F-Zero Climax for GBA which was also based on the anime ( and is actually quite enjoyable ). Also the GBA launch title F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is the only game in the series with completely different characters, vehicles & course locations from the rest. No Big Blue or Mute City, instead we get Stark Farm and Bianca City....the only significant connection to other F-Zero games is the Falcon MK II, a vehicle resembling the iconic Blue Falcon whose pilot is supposedly the son of Captain Falcon...( on a side note, Rick Wheeler's Japanese name Ryu Suzaku just seems so much cooler... ) within Smash, there's another interesting fact....all the references to F-Zero across all of Smash thus far have ONLY been related to F-Zero, F-Zero X and F-Zero GX/AX. There's never been a single trophy or song or anything related to Maximum Velocity, Climax or GP Legend/Falcon Densetsu...frankly I'd love a song or 2 from Maximum Velocity at least ( along with Captain Falcon's theme from GX )

Kinda sucks that the F-Zero franchise is kinda dead at this point. I mean they could revive it and make a beat em up and racing F-Zero racing game or something where i guess you can say it would kinda be like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta where i guess platinum would make it and where it would show what Captain Falcon is doing when he's not racing and out bounty hunting and stuff and where you would have him be able to use his gun and all.

Although i still wish add in another F-Zero rep in Smash which in my opinion would be Samurai Goroh and not as an assist trophy since i think he is kinda one of the important characters in the franchise and he also appeared with his Fire Stingray along with Captain Falcon and Blue Falcon on the box art on the SNES the first F-Zero game. Like they could've also gave a Goroh mii costume in Smash 4.
