Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Having Devs mic’d up during the game has been a great addition to the videos. It’s so refreshing to see how much he cares and the passion he has for the club which we haven’t been able to see for the last few years besides team talks etc. UTT

He's not been great on the wing in fact he gave up a goal in one of the games and Camilo has been playing quite well. Offensively Hashtag have generally been good the issues have been defensive

That couldn’t be further from the truth. Done well getting the goals, bit lucky, but you need that. Hopefully it gives him some confidence and can return to the form he was in, in 2023. But for 2024 he has been pretty poor but good for him and let’s hope he can push on now. Well done Mish.

@@Lbeee03 He's been played out of position almost every time he's played, he needs to be played as a CAM/CM, but he kept getting shoved out wide, absolute waste to put him wide and all of his best performances have come from him being in the middle of the park. When he's played central he's easily one of the best on the team, but on the wing he looks like a liability.

Great comeback! I did not expect the Tags could take 1 points after 2-nil down in half time, especially when the team's form is unstable. As I said before, making to the play-off spot is a miracle and matches are ahead. Waiting for incoming good results, up the Tags!

Brilliant resilience from the boys, honestly when it went 2-0 I thought for sure we were done, but you guys really showed grit especially in those conditions. Here at the half, a bit unfortunate to be 2 down, imo The 2nd goal is a bit of keeper error, but it happens. The fight is there, we creating the chances, if we tighten up a bit at the back theres definitely a way back into the game. Cmon boys! UP THE TAGS.

Problem with hashtag is that too much reliance on individual players.. And every season the team loses their best individual talent then the nightmare starts all over again.. I can't even imagine when Sak moves on next season, he is not far off of Jermaine so a move up is well deserved.. But then with that a new star is needed.. There needs to be more team play then just over relying on an individual savior.

Wonder if ex Bradford City keeper Sam Hornby will start in goal for Colchester. He was out on loan at Solihull Moors. Tells you a bit about the quality of the side Hastag will be up against because if he isn’t it’s probably going to mean someone has the nod AHEAD of him, and he was our first team keeper for a while before being Colchester’s for a while.

I maybe alone on this but I would like to get back to the 4-5-1 formation. I still feel like we aren’t too dangerous in possession and on crosses but our counter attack is lethal. May not be the desired style of play but I feel like this will get us better results. Anyway, way to fight back. Showed a lot of heart! Let’s get a cup!

Change to 4-4-2 guys. Multiple reasons support this: - The team is splitting in 2 without energetic midfielders and - Luke is way too lonely up top. - Camilo is a good nbr 10 but he's not suited for transitional link ups and being responsible to move the ball up. Zak and Pedro can fulfill the role of moving the ball up on the wing. - 4-4-2 also favors Toby, who can either play wing or 2nd striker. - AT is great at running in, pressing and having a more physical presence in the area. It helps to releaseLuke as CB's can't focus on one player only. And last but not least, results seem to be pretty good when playing 442.
