I just want to see the movies, magazines, art stuff that he saw last week, all of it in a pill. Every time I am flattened by the utter magic of Sifu KJ gi
@eddiepanta48668 жыл бұрын
PPL comment on his accuracy of anatomy and marvel at the details, but all that can be learned, what's really amazing here is the layout -- the fact that KJG knows where his figure is going to end up, especially since he starts from a detail and grows out of it, which is exactly how you're taught NOT to draw in school, or in all other book lessons, etc... If you look at all his drawings, you'll begin to understand that there is a hierarchy at play here, something that is more Eastern in design, perspective, and layout, but also something that is warped to KJG special capabilities. His figures pivot as if the landscape was curved, all of this allowing KJG's drawing to expand freely; he never gets trapped, he never gets in trouble in the corners - feet don't fall out of the picture frame. Within KJG's work, there's a triangulation of design that depends more on hierarchy, than western, horizon receding perspective. To KJG, there's no such thing as foreshortening, there's only information. You can take all the anatomy lessons in the world and never, ever arrive at this. There's a difference between trying and doing, between planning and executing.
@SirKingHoff7 жыл бұрын
I mean he probably practices days on pieces that he'll present at these art shows. Thus knowing how to layout everything and coming together;
@ch1dd5 жыл бұрын
That's not how it works. He's not practicing the specific thing he presents over and over, that would be virtually impossible to achieve everytime, if not for the level of detail and work that goes into it, because it would be painfully boring to reproduce the same thing. From his entire drawing life, he built the foundation to have this kinds of reference mentally, in what people call visual library. Like the original comment said, his spatial awareness is what is truly incredible, seeing each thing in place before drawing.
@YouAni-Me5 жыл бұрын
ch1dd I think he starts a rough sketch of what he’s gonna do then everything follows from that sketch.
@ch1dd5 жыл бұрын
Arki Ced there's no sketch, you can check other videos... he gets a blank surface and just goes to town. the incarnation of "confident lines", that's what's so amazing about this artist.
@ch1dd5 жыл бұрын
A lot of them do follow proportion rules, then at some point he adds new ones with a different perspective. As for illusion of detail, it's the same in every drawing without direct reference. It's still manually creating individual, convincing details, so I don't see a reason to call it illusion anymore. I know you're not attacking the artist or anything, I'm not necessarily defending him either, I just happen to disagree with what you brought up. Even if it's somewhat true, it's mostly true for any other drawing as well, so I don't see the relevance.

The way his brain is able to process layers of information is incredible. The underlying figure drawing and anatomy miraculously comes together underneath all of the complex detail, drawn in perfect perspective. I don't think anyone but other artists can fully appreciate how superhuman his abilities are. I would go as far as to say that nobody in the known history of art, including people like Leonardo and Michelangelo, has had the ability to do what he does. I have to add that it's too bad all his mid-boggling talent is directed to this kitschy Heavy Metal sci-fi stuff, it would be great to see him do other kinds of subjects.
@SketchingDNA Жыл бұрын
True, but if you look at his other works, he is the only artist can draw anything from any angle with imagination without missing a stroke. He was a Devine soul. I Miss Kim Jung gi every minute.😭😞😞

I will take a guess and say the type of person who would dislike this guys art would be other artists who would instantly know, that no matter how hard they tried, how long they lived, or who trained them , realise that they could NEVER even get close to this guys abilities. So instead of just sitting back ,watching him draw and allowing themselves to be amazed and awed by a total master of the art, instead choose to clench their asshole ,squint their eyes and allow jealousy to take hold as they down vote the video whilst they grind their teeth

The gigantic bunny is a symbolic representation of Kim jung gi's inner self with the rest of his endless artistic ideas emerging as more bunnies from the distant horizon as they battle their way through this massive conflicting competition between the artist and what seems to stand on his way in everyday life, Kim is constantly trying to put a sense of humor despite his ongoing inner conflict between his imagination and the world of reality surrounding the artist.
