Ghosal is one of the most underrated players on tour. He is incredibly hard to read, puts spin on almost every shot and is incredibly quick around the court. Added to all of that is that he is very clean in his gameplay and you dont see him fighting with the ref. Im always happy to see him playing.

Saurav is an asset to Indian Squash - I hope he gets his fair due with 'em - no one from India, has performed at this level so consistently for this long of a career - wishing him the best of luck for his remaining time on the tour - his conduct on court and his way of going about everything else in his game is exemplary - bravo!

Never felt so tense watching squash before. Particularly at the end. Lol. Amazing squash and ghosal's retrievals were incredible. Looking forward to some more quality squash of this calibre as the tournament continues

I love Elias, but man was I pulling for Ghosal. He's put in so much effort and time, I'd love to see some big results for him

Me too I was hoping Ghosal could advance. Great players, great attitude in such a tight game instead of some of the whining and complaining seen in other games.

Saurav Ghosal truly a legend. he is the player every other fears to play against. you never know what tricks he has and how long he can last in a game! phenomenal squash

Elias does this kind of thing sometimes. I still struggle to know what he is as a player. Ghosal is a light rocket with good heart. Great match

Saurav was just too good. Too bad Elias got away but I was rooting for Saurav all along. Not coz I'm Indian but his court coverage in general was just top notch.

Surperb match. Diego couldnt find his height accuracy attack boasting, a normal strength as he backs the shot so well, which won't work as Shurav has skills and options. I'm impressed he worked it out. It was like a match from 10-20 years ago.

How many times we have seen Saurav losing from a winning position? He needs to work on his temperament more than his game, because he's amazing when it comes to his skills.

@ModestMajor Video Editor i agree he loses to some of greatest players. But the situations are such that he could have won easily from the position he gets himself into, only to find out later that he lost the match. He was 2-0 up here also. And in the 5th game, 10-9 up. The reason why players like Elshorbagy are among the top 5 are because of their hunger and competitive spirit and belief that they can win from any situation against any opponent. They don't get bogged down by their opponents rankings, instead play their best game.

@@firstsector99 alas that wasn't enough to win him the match. He had enough room to win the game after he was 2-0 up. Either he got too casual, or he got bogged down. But the greatest players know how not to lose from this position. As an Indian myself, I want Saurav to win from such positions, but I have seen this many a times where he just is unable to cross the line after coming so close. That's where I say his aggression and temperament needs some working. His squash skills are in place.

Firstly he was incredibly tired and doing so much more work than elias. And it wasn’t that he played worse in games 3/4 but that elias played better much better. I do agree on converting the match ball he had though but he only had 1 match ball not like he had 3-5 and just gave up and handed it to elias.

@@drewd2522 yeah. However, at that level when you are two games up against your opponent, it's a crime to lose from that position. Not that it's not possible, but with Saurav it has happened quite many times. Also, it happens with Indian players. The other day I had seen the same happening with Mahesh Mangaonkar..he was 2 games up against Asal, and still managed to lose from there.
