This team saved my life, i split with the Mrs and two kid's , got sectioned for drug and alcohol abuse, lost my job. Still had a season ticket though, got discharged after two weeks, put my heart and soul into city. No alcohol, no drug's, just something to do with city every night. Supporters club meetings, fund raisers, anything city I was there. Missed 3 games from 98-2002, home away, pre-season, Hamburg, Kilmarnock, Ireland. I feel city was the only thing keeping me on this planet at that time. Gave my season ticket up after we beat QPR, the Aguero goal. Saw us beat Gillingham, saw 5-1 & 6-1 against utd. Feel so blessed to be a city fan. I feel, they saved my life. Going charity shield v Chelsea too. 👍

Beautiful, inspiring story. People like you are why we are, where we are now. The beating heart of the club i love so much. The club where I watched Dennis Tuart score 5 goals aganst New York Cosmos in a friendly, before he moved there to finish a great career. A club where I experienced every emotion possible. From deep despair (watching us demoted to the old league 3). To utter joy, promotion at wembley via Paul Dickov & co . Promotion back into league one at Bradford City........ Oh the memories, the players Ali Bernarbia, Shaun Goater, Danny Tiato, Richard Edghill, Richard Dunn; Eyal Berkovitch, Nicky Weaver, Kinky, Paolo Wanchop, and on, and on.... A wonderful city, a wonderful club, with wonderful players (past and present). And wonderful fans. Tears of utter despair. Tears of joy. Anyone who thinks that this is a small club with no history, is talking out of their arse. My city, My club, My Pride, MY CITEH,,,,,,,

9wolves2007 Always liked Wolves myself, not sure if you remember but in the Away end when you were relegated we clapped you off and paid respects, football is all about respect. Glad to see you know there was a Manchester City before our recent success!
@9wolves20079 жыл бұрын
IamFnXtreme Yeah mate, that was 2012, very classy gesture tbf, Makes me laugh how every City fan gets pre-judged and has the 'plastic' book thrown at them, so they always feel obliged to defend and justify themselves with a long detailed list as to why they're actually not plastic. I imagine that gets a bit annoying after a few years... I guess it would be no different if we had billionaires in charge and we were dominating English Football, I'd probably need to type up a fookin essay and copy/paste it to every cunt who starts getting lairy lol - thankfully though, that's not necessary ;)
@Vusevio9 жыл бұрын
9wolves2007 Honestly mate sometimes I should just have my reasons for not being plastic ready to be copy and pasted, it happens so often haha! Don't me wrong I hate modern football, but it's not exactly my fault my club were bought out is it ya know haha? Do wish our atmosphere was like Maine Road though.. that's the main thing I do miss. Then again though, half of the big clubs in England have shite atmosphere, we are just singled out majority of the time
@9wolves20079 жыл бұрын
IamFnXtreme Maine Road was brilliant, problem is, I don't think it would be much different to now, merely based on the fact that proper fans can't really afford to go anymore, and that they're getting swamped and outnumbered by "new additions" to the fanbase who can fly from Thailand or Germany because City are their new favourite English team. Instead you'd have a scenario where a good portion of Maine Road consisted of tourists, rather than having them spread around the Etihad, so you're faced with the same issue. Arsenal fans love to bang on about how brilliant they are... yeah... when they bring 2,000 to away games, at home it's an absolute joke, because the same transformation has taken place there too. Emirates... probably 15k or more there who have only turned up for the one-off game from the other side of the world, they've turned up to treat it like a stadium tour rather than an actual game and the only thing that occupies their mind is recording bits for youtube and taking photos for facebook, the last thing they're thinking about is the 90 minutes, but obviously tell that the shareholders lol, they couldn't give a flying fuck, all they want is for the home game to be a sell out and for them to get their gate receipts and they're satisifed. Nonsense mate. Even our ground is starting to turn into a lego set lol, I loved it prior to the new stand being upgraded, but now it's a complete mish mash

I saw myself as a 6 block pixel a few times in this.. lolol (Platt Lane 4 rows back and 2 seats in from the right side of the goals.. Where most goals were scored for some weird reason.) I gave more of a rats about this side than the current ones.. These lads played for the badge/club and fans.. Dunne was the 1st name I put on the back of my shirt and the only one.. Mr Own Goals was only like that because the ball wasn't dead until it crossed the line.. Quite a few times with him following it in the goals.. but his OG's must have an average of inches from the line when he touched it.. lol Dunne and Distin.. What a combo. Mad and amazing days. 3-0 down to Arsenal and singing 4-3, We're gonna win 4-3.. Arsenal score again.. 5-4 We're gonna win 5-4.. lolol

Getting beat regularly 4 or 5 - 0 by Arsenal each time we were in the Prem and still singing 5-4 were gonna win 5-4.. Some of the best / funniest moments as a football fan is having those bogey clubs and no matter how good you are playing. You dread that fixture. Middlesbrough was one for us Man City fans. At one game the stats had 2 shots 0 on target for Brough. Beat us 1-0. Richard Dunne own goal and wasn't going on target until..... lolol.
