I think I know why TEO-5 just *exploded* onto the market as it did. It was not built up in pre-publicity like some models have been recent to 2024. It had to be fully “cooked” before being presented. That is a lesson learned from the ARP Instruments saga and many of its pitfalls from the late 70s. It also was echoed partly in Behringer taking so long to get the UB-Xa onto the market but building it up in pre-publicity.

Sequential doesn’t show instruments that aren’t going to be available for sale in a few months. Behringer showed the world how not to release a product. You don’t tease it, then not release it for another 4 years.
