Another funny thing is that in one of the deleted CoS scenes at Burgin and Burks (remember the one where Lucius sais 'Touch nothing, Draco' and hits him with the cane?) Jason actually DID acidentally hit Tom Felton's hand. And is their first scene together! They'd just met! Hilarious The hair and the cane is also all Jason

I had heard that he didn't have more specific instructions than "start attacking him before being blown back by Dobby" and he asked someone on set for a spell (any spell) and someone (I forget who) said that Avada Kedavra was a Potter spell. Both of them not knowing the implications of that specific choice.

Well, there is the Yule Ball which is named after an older tradition, so it could be explained that the wizarding world informally renamed their existing holiday of Yule to Christmas as more muggleborns joined their world. Easter doesn't line up with a witchy holiday in the same way

brit here, i'd agree that spring break and easter break are the same thing - just different name. typically our schools have 2 weeks off starting on the last few days of march and the first weeks of april. You also don't have to believe in easter to go on easter break - that's just what we've normalised it as. (we don't say "spring break" but it's spring term)

He argues when it's not exactly clear if he is right or wrong, when there's room for interpretation. Ben does this too but less often. And nowadays (last three years) J barely even does this

Depending on when Easter is, the term Easter break and Spring break can be synonymous. Ben knew when it was, just wasn't sure of the terminology being used. It was a good question.

They are the owners, not necessarily saw him buy the stuff. They are present but probably only out if the buyer has questions. The store was jam-packed all the time probably so it's reasonable assumption that they didn't notice it. Or he could have used Polyjuice potion. Or he could have changed his appearance just enough that they don't recognise him(it's a 6th year curriculum and we know he is good at magic)

Lucious almost killing Harry in the end of the chamber of secrets movie was because Lucious' actor improvised the spell. No one had any idea that, that spell would end up being the killing curse, so they kept it in the movie. The actor got a bit of hate for it after that.

One of the reasons for showing your working in a Maths answer is so that you can be awarded partial marks if you have the correct method, but make a mistake part way in the calculation. It shows the marker that you understand the method and reasoning. It's better to get 4 marks out of 5 than 0.

Easter is a UK-wide holiday. We get Good Friday and Easter Monday as national holidays so the schools typically extend it to a week or two as a holiday

27:51 So from a Canadian's POV I would say that Spring break and Easter Break is separate becasue at least in my school region (i think it was all of Ontario but I could be wrong) Spring break (called March break) was in March and completely separate from Easter in April where we would get a four day weekend. Then again my school district didn't start till the Tuesday after Labour day (Arbor day in the US) so that might be why. It would completely throw school out of wack the years Easter was in March as we would have 10 days off for spring break (the Friday was a PA day and went Friday to the following Sunday) then go to school for 4 days (Monday to Thursday) and get four days off for Easter.
